"Damn." I said waking up to the sun in my eyes. My head hurt so bad! I could hardly open my eyes. That's what I get for drinking too much the night before. I opened my eyes and sat up. I realized I had no clothes. "What the fuck!" I said loudly. I giggled wondering why I would sleep naked at someone elses house. I stood up and started to put my skirt on. I looked at the bed and saw my best friend Cody laying there. He yawned and opened his eyes. I quickly held my shirt up to my chest. His eyes got big. I started to cry. "What happen?" He asked me.
"Why don't you tell me?!" I yelled crying.
"I don't remember. I swear." He mumbled.
"Like fuck you don't remember!" I shouted. I turned around and put my bra on. I took a deep breath and slipped my shirt on.
"Hey, come on Jenna." He said to me. "Neither of us remember anything." He put his hand on my shoulder. I pushed him away. "Don't touch me!"
I walked out of the bedroom. The house was a huge mess. I saw my purse on the floor under the coffee table. I grabbed it and started to walk out of the door.
"Jenna!" He shouted.
"I don't want you to ever speak to me again!" I shouted. I walked quickly to my car and got in. I sat there and cried. I saw Cody walking up, so I started my car and spead away. I drove to my apartments. I sat in the car and just cried and cried. When I finally contained myself, I walked to my apartment. My room mate Mikey was sitting on the couch eating cereal. He looked up at me. He gave me a strange look and got up. "Have you been crying?" He asked. I nodded. He put his arms around me. "What's wrong?"
"Cody and I slept together." I sobbed.
"Why are you crying?" He asked.
"We were drunk. He shouldn't have touched me."
He rubbed the back of my head. "Sorry to hear that." He said. "Come here." He said. He layed down on the couch and pulled me towards him. He just put his arms around me. "It'll be okay." He said.
"Our friendship is ruined." I said.
We heard the door open. It was our other two room mates Amy and Ben.
"What happen to you last night? You dissapeared from the party." Amy said taking off her coat.
"Lukas said he saw you and Cody go into Donnie's bedroom." Ben said.
"Why don't you tell me?!" I yelled crying.

"I really don't want to talk about it!" I told Ben. "Whoa. Whats the big deal? We all know you two like each other." Ben said. "Hey, not right now." Mikey told him. "Sorry!" Ben said. He walked back to the bedroom he shared with Amy. "We can talk later if you want Sista." She said, and kissed my forehead. "Thanks." I told her. She went back, and her heard her shut the door. "It'll be okay. You just aren't feeling well from drinking." Mikey said. "I know." I told him. "Cody is a good guy. You know he wouldn't touch you. You both must have been pretty drunk." Mikey said. I laughed. "Yeah, I guess we were." I said.
"I'm gonna take a shower." I said getting up.
"Okay." Mikey said with a smile. He followed me to our bedroom. He started going through the laundry on the floor. "You need any laundry done? I'm gonna walk down and do some laundry." He told me.
"Um. . . anything in the pile. I don't need any specific cleaned." I said. I grabbed a towel and went to the bathroom. I turned on the shower and cracked the door.
"Alright, I'll be back!" Mikey shouted as he left.
"Okay!" I yelled back. I undressed and stepped into the shower.
"Actually I have to piss." Mikey said. I heard him start to pee.
I just laughed.
"Sorry." He said.
I sat down in the back of the tub and started thinking about the night before. I curled up in a ball and rested my head on my knees. I started to cry again.
Mikey peaked his head in with his eyes closed. "Do I need to kick his ass?" He asked.
"No." I sobbed.
"We'll talk when I get back." He said and left the room.
I finished taking a shower, and felt a little better. I couldn't stop thinking about the night before. After I got dressed I went to the kitchen to get some water. Our apartment was pretty big for only being a two bedroom. The kitchen, living room and dining room divided the two bedrooms. Most people thought it was weird that Mikey and I shared a room, and Amy and Ben shared a room. None of us were dating or anything. It just seemed to kind of work better that way. I sat down on the couch to watch TV, but after flipping through the channels for a bit, I realized I was way to tired to watch TV. I grabbed my glass of water and went back to the room. I layed down in my bed. Both of the bedrooms were big enough to hold two beds. I turned on some Dashboard Confessional, and fell alseep. I woke up a little while later when Mikey came back from doing laundry.

He poured a basket of clothes onto his bed and started folding them. I got up to help.
"Oh no. Lay back down." He told me.
"I feel better, silly." I said. I helped him fold the clothes and hang up a few shirts. He pinched my chin smiling. "You gonna be alright?" He asked.
I smiled and nodded.
"You wanna talk?" He asked.
"I think I'm going to go talk to Julie." I told him.
"Okay." He said. "I'll catch ya later then."
"Bye." I got my purse and walked out of the apartment. I locked the door and walked to my car. Cody was parking his car on the other side of the street. He looked at me as I got in my car. I was afraid he was going to get out and try to talk to me, but he didn't get out of his car until I pulled away. I drove to Julie's house. She was sitting out front on her swing reading a magazine.
"Hey, girly!" She said when she saw me. "You look like shit."
"Thanks." I told her.
"I'm just fucking with you. You look upset though." She said. "Is something wrong?"
I sat down on the swing next to her. She stretched her legs out over my lap and crossed her arms.
"I slept with Cody last night." I told her. "More and more of the night is coming back to me."
"What?!" She shouted. "Are you kidding me?!"
"I remember us going to bed and he kept kissing my neck and stuff and I asked him to stop." I told her. "He wouldn't give up."
She sat up. "Did he force you?"
"No. I finally gave in I think. It makes me so mad that he didn't just stop when I said no the first time. What a fucking jerk." I said.
"Why would he do that?" She asked.
"I don't know." I said. "I just can not beleive he wouldn't just get over it after I told him no."
"That is so crazy." She said. "And he tells us everything. He is totally hooked on Tess."
"And I was thinking about that too. I just don't get it." I told her.
"He was horny and drunk." She said.
"So why didn't he find someone else? He's my best friend! You don't go after your best friend like that!" I told her.
"Why did you give in?" She asked.
"I don't remember." I told her.
"Do you have feelings for him?"
I gave her a weird look. "Jules I see him a brother. Of course not. Shit!" I said.
"Then you just fucked your brother." She said laughing.
"Shut up!" I said hitting her with a smirk on my face.
"Was it good?" She asked.
I laughed. "I don't remember!"
"Couldn't have been that great then." She said.
I rolled my eyes. "Shut up."
"What am I going to do?" I asked her. "I don't know. Talk to him? Tell him you are upset?" She suggested. "I don't want to! I'm still so mad at him!" I said. "Well, that is kind of your only option. Other then just ignore it, and never talk to him again." She said. "Yeah, I guess you are right." I sighed. Just then my phone rang. It was Cody. "Speak of the devil bastard." I said. "Well, answer it!" Julie said, punching my arm. "FINE!" I shouted. "Hello?" I answered, sounding very irritated.
"Didn't think you'd answer." He said.
"Well, I did."
"You gonna hear me out?" He asked.
"Well, I remember YOU trying to sleep with me and ME telling YOU no." I told him. "I think that explains it all."
"I know." He said. "There is no good excuse for it."
"Was it good?" I asked.
"What?" He asked sounding surprised.
"The sex. Was it good?"
"I think so. . ." He said.
"Why didn't you stop when I said no?" I asked him.
He giggled nervously. "Guess I wasn't using my head."
"Yeah you were. Just the wrong one." I told him.
He laughed. "Yeah I guess."
"Why didn't you call Tess or something though?" I asked.
He grunted. "Probably should have. Would've been a better choice."
"If you don't tell her about it, then I will." I told him.
"I don't think we should tell her. I'll lose her." He said.
"You screwed up. You did a very idiotic thing. I'm not going to help you pretend it didn't happen." I told him.
"Come on, Jenna." He said.
"Tell her." I told him. "Or I will."
He sighed. "God damnit, Jenna! Come on!"
"I'm not changing my mind. That would be so fucked up of you not to tell her." I told him. I hung up the phone.
"He doesn't want her to know about it?" Julie asked.
"Apparently not." I told her.
"Men!" She said. "Lets go inside."
We went in and Julie made us some food. We just ate a frozen pizza. We decided it was time for a girls night out, just the two of us. We used to go out together all the time, but we hadn't for a while. In the mean time we decided to look out our old notebooks and notes from Hightschool. We had kept all of them! We went to her room, and she pulled a tool box from her closet. When she opened it up, it was full of all our notes. She pulled out the insert that held the notes, and our notebooks were underneath, still decorated!
We each took one and started reading. She started laughing really hard.
"What?" I asked her.
"You had a crush on Robby Harris." She said.
"Shut up!" I said. "He was cute!"
We read through all of our notebooks and we laughed a lot.
"We were such dorks!" I said.
"No kidding." She said laughing.
"Well, I am going to go home and change my clothes." I told her. I stood up. She gave me a hug and walked me to the front door.
"See you in a couple hours." I told her. I drove back to my apartment. Ben and Mikey were playing a video game. Amy was in the kitchen cooking something on the stove. "Hey, Jenna. I'm making mac and cheese if you want some." She said. I sat down on the couch behind Ben and started playing with his hair. "Sure I'll have some. Thanks." I told her smiling.
"Feeling better?" Mikey asked.
"Yeah." I said. "I talked to Cody. It wasn't very pleasent, but I feel a little better."
"Good! You should always talke about things, get them out in the open!" Ben said. I pulled his hair. "Hey!" He shouted. I caused him to crash his car in the game. "Oh, because you are the relationship expert!" I said, laughing. "Hey! I didn't sleep with my suposed best friend!" Ben said. Mikey smaked the back of his head. "Thank you Mikey!" I said. "Jerk!" Ben said to mikey. He paused the game, and they both looked at each other. "DON'T!" I shouted, knowing exactly where this was going. Ben lunged at Mikey, and mikey threw him on the floor. They both started rolling around, play fighting. "MEN!" I shouted.
"WOMEN!" Mikey shouted. He picked me up and tackled me to the floor. I started laughing. Amy walked out with a couple bowls of macaroni and cheese. "Okay children. Here's lunch." She said. Mikey threw me over his shoulder and just stood there. I slapped him in the back. "Put me down!" I shouted. He set me down. I looked at Ben and he had already took a bowl and was eating. Mikey and I looked at the other bowl and we both went to grab it at the same time. We both grabbed it and the macaroni flew all over us. We started laughing really hard.
"Oh my gosh." Amy said. "Make your own bowls." She sat down on the floor in front of the couch.
The cheese was all over my arms. "I guess I am taking another shower." I said. Mikey picked me up again and ran to the bathroom laughing. He turned on the shower and put me under the water. I screamed. I pulled his hand towards me and he fell into the tub butt first with his legs in the air. He pulled me down on his lap and wouldn't let me go. I kept screaming.
"Jerk!" I shouted. He finally let me up. Get out, I want to take a shower!" I yelled at him. "Me too!" He said, taking his shirt off. "NO!!! Not WITH you!" I said, laughing. "Too bad!" He said. He pulled off my shirt. "Hey!" I shouted. "Oh please! We've been living in this room together for a year! I've seen you naked!" He said, laughing. "Fine! Jerk!" I said again, sticking out my tounge. We both took our clothes off, and took a shower together. I started to climb out of the shower when I was done, and I slipped. Mikey caught me before I fell though. "Careful!" He said. "Thanks." I told him. I stood back up, and started kissing him. While he was preoccupied, I reached behind me, and turned the faucet all the way to cold. I pulled away really fast, and took off running. "FUCK!!!" I heard Mikey shout when the cold water hit him. I grabbed a towel on my way out of the bathroom, and ran to the living room to hide.
"What the hell are you doing?" Amy asked. I couldn't stop laughing. I ducked down behind the couch. I heard Mikey come running out. "Where is she?" He asked. Ben laughed. "I think she is the girl laughing behind the couch."
"You ass!" I shouted. I jumped over the couch and put my arms around Ben to use him as a shield.
"Get over here!" Mikey said laughing. I buried my head in Ben's neck. "What did she do?" Ben asked. "You are getting me all wet by the way." I looked down and my hair was dripping all over him. It made me laugh again. "It's cold!" Ben yelled laughing.
"Yeah, tell me about it!" Mikey shouted. "She turned the cold water on me!" He said. I started laughing. "GOOD ONE!" Amy said. "Wait, you two took a shower together?" Ben said. "You never take one with me?" Ben said. "You aren't my type!" Mikey said, laughing. "Not you!" Ben told him. By this point I was laughing so hard, I would have fallen over if I wasn't holding onto Ben. Ben turned around really fast, and pushed me onto the couch, grabbing my towel as I went, so when I landed I was naked. "Hey!" I shouted, reaching for the towel. Amy started laughing. Mikey ran over and tried to tackle me, but I moved. I jumped up and ran back to the room, and locking the door so I could get dressed.
I dried off my hair and got dressed. I just put on my jean shorts and my plain green baby T. I brushed my hair and put it up in a pony tail. I unlocked the door and Mikey was standing right there, he picked me up and went running to the bathroom. "NOOO!" I shouted.
"Please don't!" I said. It was too late. He had left the water running and filled up the bathtub. He dropped me in. "JERK!" I shouted. He shut the water shower off. The water was freezing! "I hate you!" I shouted laughing. He was laughing his head off. He helped me up out of the bathtub. "That is what you get for teasing me!" He said. "What?" I asked, pulling my clothes off again, and grabbing another towel. "Teasing me. You make out with me, and then just run away?" He said, smiling. I started laughing. "Oh, I see! You could care if I got you with cold water, you just wanted to kiss me!" I shouted. "And, you are surprised by this?" He asked. I started laughing. "Mikey wants to kiss me. Mikey wants to LOVE me!" I started to sing.
"Shut up." He said.
I gave him a dirty look. I heard my phone ringing, so I grabbed it and jumped on my bed. It was Cody.
"What's up, CODY?" I said loudly hoping Mikey would hear.
"She broke up with me." He said sounding very sad.
"Aw Cody." I said.
"Jenna, I know I really fucked up, but I really need you right now." He told me. I felt bad even though I shouldn't.
"I'm suppose to be hanging out with Julie in like an hour." I told him. He didn't say anything. "Come over. I'll cancel." I said hanging up the phone. I called Julie and told her what was up. She totally understood and that's what I loved about her the most. I heard Mikey get in the shower. I dried off my hair and fixed my pony tail. I changed into my light blue cotton strapless dress. I went out to the living room. Ben had started playing his video game again. I sat down behind him again and put my arms around him. "Hey, you're gonna screw up my game." He said.
"Cody's coming over." I told Amy.
"Okay. Ben, why don't you clean up the lunch mess? I'm going to go lay out by the pool." She said.
"Me? I didn't fucking make it!" He shouted. "I'll clean it up!" I said. I got up, and cleaned up the mess. I sat back down behind Ben, and wrapped my legs around him. "Stop it!" He said laughing. "What?" I asked. "You are distracting me!" He said. "Sorry." I replied. "You are not!" He shouted, laughing. "Hey, you pulled my towel off." I said. "And I'm NOT sorry!" He told me." I started playing with his hair, and he started laughing. "What?" I asked. He paused the game, and turned around, and tackled me.
He pulled my hair so it was all messed up and a bunch of hair was out of my pony tail.
There was a knock at the door. I jumped up and Ben grabbed me again.
Amy opened the door and it was Cody. "Hey hun." She said to him.
"Hey." He said walking in.
"Let go of me, fucker!" I shouted laughing. Ben let go of me and I stood up trying to fix my hair. "Come on." I told Cody signaling for him to follow me. We went to my bedroom and I closed the door. Mikey walked out of the bathroom in his boxers. "Hey, Cody. How's it goin?" He asked.
"Been better." Cody told him.
"I'll be outta your hair in a second." He put some jeans on and a white button up shirt. He grabbed some socks. "I've got a date tonight." He told us. He sprayed some cologne on and left the room. Cody layed down on my bed and I layed down with my feet up against the wall and my head on his stomach. He ran his fingers through my hair. "Why is life so complicated sometimes?" He asked me.
"Becuase we make it that way." I told him. "Yeah, I guess we do." He said. "I'm sorry I made you tell Tess." I told him. "No, you were right. I needed to tell her. Sorry I slept with you." He said. "All is forgiven." I told him. "So what happened?" I asked him. "Well, I called her, and told her that it was a crazy party, and I drank way too much. Then I told her I woke up the next morning with another girl. I wouldn't tell her who, and she got mad. I said I was sorry, but she called me a dick, and said she never wanted to see me again." He told me. "Oh my god! I'm so sorry!" I told him. "Eh. What can ya do." He sighed. "I can see your panties by the way." He said, smirking. "HUH!" I gasped. I had my legs proped up on the wall, and hadn't realized my dress slipped up. I put my legs down, and pulled my dress down. "Cody started laughing. "Glad I could help cheer you up." I said sarcasticly. "You always make me feel better Jenna." He said. "Hey, remember when we first met? It was Junior year, in psych class." He said. "OH yeah! We had the hugest crush on each other! We would always play jokes back and forth!" I said, laughing. "How come we never dated? That was 4 years ago!" He said. "Oh my god! It was 4 years ago!" I said, shocked. "You didn't answer my question." He said. "I don't know why we didn't. Guess we made good friends." I said, looking over at him. "Yeah, I guess so." He said. I jumbed up and went into the closet. I came back out with a notebook and a marker. "What are you doing?" He asked. "You'll see." I told him. I wrote on a piece of paper, and tore it out. "Here you go!" I said, folding it up, and handing it to him. He opened it and started laughing. It said:
"Jenna <3's Cody Parker. He is a sexy bad ass!"
"You are so silly." He said. He took my hand and ran his fingers up and down my arm.
"That tickles!" I said pulling my arm away. He laughed.
"I bet it was good." He said.
"What?"
"When we had sex. I bet it was good."
"Shut up." I told him.
He turned over on his stomach so his face was right by mine. He stared into my eyes. He took my hand again and rubbed it. He had a very serious look on his face. I freaked out and jumped up. "Let's watch a movie." I said walking up to the stack of movies. He sat up and leaned against the headboard. "Alright." He said.
I grabbed the first one I saw and put it in. "What are we watching?" He asked. "Anchorman." I told him. I sat back down on the bed next to him. The movie started, and he tried to put his arm around me, but I moved. "What are you so afraid of?" He asked me. "You just broke up with your girlfriend!" I told him. "I know. To be honest I was a little bumed out, but I was kind of glad." He said. "Glad?" I asked him. "This is the first time we have both been single." He said. "Oh." I sighed. "I just don't want to mess up our friendship." I told him. "You don't want to take a chance on something that could be great?" He asked. "What if it isn't?" I asked him. "There is only one way to find out." He said. He leaned in and kissed me. It felt like my heart was going to explode, I felt so nervous. He put his hand on my lower back, and scooted me closer to him. The bedroom door opened. "Whoa! Sorry!" Ben said, turning around to leave. "No! It's okay!" I shouted, and he turned back around. Amy and I are going out to eat. Want to come?" He asked. "Yes!" I shouted. Cody looked at me. "I'm hungry." I said smiling. Ben shut the door, and I got up to find my shoes. "Why are you scared?" Cody asked me. "I wanted too just now, but I'm nervous." I said. "Why?" He asked. "I don't know!" I said getting irritated. I found some flip-flops, and grabbed my purse. I grabbed Cody by the arm and pulled him off the bed. When we walked out of the bedroom, he slapped my butt. "HEY!" I giggled. We walked out to the living room, and Amy and Ben were there waiting. Ben drove us in his car to a local pizza place a few blocks away.
Amy and I sat down while the guys ordered. "Amy?" I whispered. She looked at me. "Cody tried kiss me."
"What? Are you serious?" She said quietly. "I thought you two agreed to never go down that route. . ."
"We did!" I told her.
"What is he thinking?" She asked. "You don't want to be his rebound chick anyway." She said quietly. The guys walked up. Ben sat down next to me. Cody hesitated and sat down next to Amy. "What are you girls whispering about?" Ben asked.
"Nothing!" We both said at the same time.
"Nothing." I said again. Cody looked at me. I think he knew what we were talking about. He looked embarassed.
We ordered an extra large pizza, and a pitcher of bud light. Ben ordered some wings as an afterthought. Ben kept puting his hand on me, and flirting with me. He was trying to bother Cody. Cody looked kind of awkward sitting next to Amy.
"You guys want to do anything after this?" Amy asked us.
"I'm probably going to head home." Cody said.
"Why?" I asked him.
"Chill with us." Amy wined. "You've been a stranger lately."
"That is what happens when you get hung up on a girl. And that is why I don't do it." Ben said.
"Oh, please." I said.
"What?" He asked.
"Jamie Porter?" Amy said. Amy and I looked at him smiling.
Ben blushed. "She sucked." He said.
"You told us you were falling for her." I said.
He laughed. "I was lying."
"You were so not lying." I told him.
"Well, she was a bitch!" He said, getting mad. Amy and I laughed. "Come on Cody. We'll all go to the arcade at the mall." Amy suggested. "Yeah, I'll tag along." He said. "Good!" She said. Ben rolled his eyes. Him and Mikey had always been kind of protective over Amy and I. We were all like brothers and sisters we had been friends for so long! The waitress brought the wings and the beer, and after a few glasses, all the tension was gone. We were all laughing and joking. The pizza came out a few minutes later. When were done eating, Ben drove us to the arcade. We were all a little tipsy, so it made everything really interesting!
"Play pacman with me." Amy said to me. We walked over to the game. It was a sit down one. We each sat down on one end and played. "Is Ben bugging you?" She asked me.
"No. He is saving me actually." I told her.
"Just making sure. He knows you so well." She told me laughing.
"I know." I said. We played the game and looked for the guys. They were playing a race car game. Amy and I cheered them on. A waiter walked up to us. "We're going to have to kick you out if you don't quiet down." He said.
"Are you fucking kidding me?" Amy said getting mad.
"Hey. Baby doll. It's okay." Ben told her taking her hand. The waiter walked away.
"Lets get the fuck out of here!" Ben said. Ben looked at me like he was trying to study my face to know what I was thinking. He walked over and put his arm around me. "Lets go home and watch a movie." He told me. Ben and I walked ahead. "Don't be his rebound girl." Ben whispered to me.
"I'm not." I told him.
"Good. You deserve better." He said.
"I know." I told him.
"Thank you, by the way." I said. "For what?" He asked. "For saving me." I whispered. "Anytime, sweetheart." He said. He kissed my cheek. We got out to the car, and Amy and Cody caught up to us. We drove back home, and Cody decided he was just going to go hang out with his buddies. Amy had a date with some guy she was seeing, and left soon after we got home. "Looks like it's you and me Kiddo. Both dateless on a Saturday night!" He said, making me laugh.
"Pretty sad, hu?" I said.
"Nah." He said.
We layed down on the couch together and he turned on the TV.
"MTV Cribs?" He asked.
"Sure." I said. We watched that and then Making the Video came on. It was for some Jessica Simpson video. "Change it." I told him.
"But she's hot." He said making a puppy dog face.
"Fine." I told him. While we were watching that, I got a text message from Cody.
It said: I <3 U!
I rolled my eyes. "Cody is drunk text messaging." I said laughing. I sat up and called him. "Hey drunk ass, what you up to?" I said giggling.
He laughed. "I'm not that drunk." He said slurring his speach like crazy.
"Okay slurry." I said.
"Come pick me up." He said.
"No!"
"Why not?" He asked.
"Because." I said looking at Ben. "I'm hanging out with Ben tonight." Ben smiled and got up. He went to his room. "Have a good night, love ya." I said.
"Love ya too." He said and hung up. I walked up to Ben's bedroom door. "What are you doing?" I asked him.
"Pissing." He said.
I laughed. "Oh okay, sorry!" I shouted.
"No problem!" He shouted. I went back out to the couch to watch more TV. Ben came out of the room and was doing something in the kitchen. "What are you doing?" I asked him. "You'll see." He said. He walked out a few minutes later with a tray fool of alcohol.
"Oh great!" I said. "Don't think for one second that you're going to get me in bed. I already made that dumb mistake."
"We'll see." He said smiling.
"Shut up." I told him. I poured myself a shot of Tequila and went to drink it.
"Wait!" Ben said. He poured himself one too.
We took the shot together and we each opened a beer. He turned on Clerks and we watched the whole movie while drinking beer after beer. As soon as we were both drunk, we put the rest of the alcohol away. Neither of us wanted to be sick the next day.
We pulled out the twister game and started playing. We were all wraped around each other when it was his turn. I spun the needle and a called out, "Left foot Green!" He tried to move his foot, and we both fell! He landed on top of me, and I started laughing.
Mikey came stumbling in with some girl. They were both laughing. Ben stood up. "Twister?" Mikey asked.
"Yeah." I said.
"What a shitty game." The girl slurred laughing.
Mikey grabbed her hand and went to the bedroom. He closed the door.
"I don't fucking think so!" I yelled to him. I walked into the bedroom and they were making out on MY bed.
"You can sleep in my bed with me." Ben said.
"No, fuck that. Get the slut outta my fucking bed." I said rudly.
The girl got up and stumbled out of the bedroom. Mikey followed her. "Mike, don't do this." I told him. "This is what Cody did to me."
He stopped walking. He got his cell phone out of his pocket and called a cab for her. He gave me a dirty look and led her outside.
"Okay, now get back on the ground." Ben said pointing to the floor.
"No." I told him.
"Don't get worked up about this." He said.
Mike walked in and went straight to the bedroom.
"See you in the morning." I told Ben.
He smiled. "Goodnight."
I went back into the bedroom. Mikey was brushing his teeth. I stood in the doorway and leaned up against the wall. He noticed me standing there. "What?" He mumbled.
"I'm sorry." I told him.
He spit and wiped his mouth.
"Jenna, I can do whatever the fuck I want. You have no say in what I do or don't do." He said. He climbed into his bed and turned facing the wall.
"Mikey, I said I'm sorry." I told him.
"I'm going to sleep." He said.
"Can we please talk?" I asked him.
He turned around. "Talk." He said.
"Just want to tell you I am sorry. I hope I didn't ruin your night."
"Well, you did ruin my night." He told me.
"What do you want me to do?" I asked.
"What do you mean?"
"What can I do to make you feel better?" I asked.
He laughed. "That is an interesting question. I would say it has an obvious answer too."
I didn't say anything.
"Didn't think you would go for it." He said. "Do you find me attractive?"
I sighed. "Yes."
"Is that what that was about?" He asked. "No. I just didn't want her to feel like I did in the morning." I told him. "Honey, there is a differance. We aren't friends, we went on a date. We may both have been drinking, but she wanted that just as much as me." Mikey said. "I'm sorry." I told him. "It's okay." He said. I climbed into bed with him.
"Stop saying you're sorry." He told me.
"Don't be so mad." I told him.
"I'll get over it." He said. "Now goodnight."
"Night." I said puting my arms around him. He started to snore right away, so I got up and went to my own bed. I covered my head with the blankets.
I couldn't sleep, so I got up and went out to the living room. Ben was watching TV. "I feel horrible. I shouldn't have done that." I told him. "It's okay. He'll get over it." Ben said. "I hope so!" I replied. "Come here!" Ben said, putting his arm out. I curled up next to him with my head on his chest, and he put his arm around me. We watched Adult swim and kept laughing.
Amy walked in drunk. "Great another one." Ben said. He got up and helped Amy to her bed. She was so out of it. "You better not have drove home like this." He told her.
"I did not drive, Ben. I did not." She slurred. I continued to watch TV. Ben came back out about twenty minutes later. "Yeah she is not going to be feeling well tomorrow." He said.
"Neither is Mikey. We're going to have to sickies to deal with tomorrow." I told him. We watched more TV, and fell asleep on the couch. I woke up the next morning, and we were both laying on the couch sleeping, with an informercial on the TV. I put my arm around Ben's waist. "Oh my God!" I shouted. Ben woke up. "What?" He asked looking around. I started giggling. "What?" He asked again, getting irritated. "Is that a sausage in your pants, or are you just happy to see me?" I asked him. "Oh fuck!" He said laughing. He started blushing.
I jumped up laughing. "I'm gonna go check on Mikey." I said.
"Yeah I'm gonna go take a shower." Ben said.
I laughed again. I went to the bedroom. Mikey was still sound asleep. I decided to take a bath. I put a ton of bubble bath and bath salts. I grabbed my book of poems and got in the tub. I just layed back reading. Mikey came running into the bathroom and started getting sick in the toilet. I turned away. It made me gag. He got on his knees and layed his head down on the toilet bowl.
"You okay?" I asked him.
"Sorry." He said.
"It's okay." I told him. He layed there for a few minutes, then stood up. He brushed his teeth and sat down on the toilet. "Wow I really feel like shit." He said. "I'm never drinking like that again."
"We all say that." I said. I put my book down and layed down more in the water. He sat down on the floor and leaned over the tub. He splash a little with his hand and stared at the water. "I'm sorry about last night." He said.
"It's fine." I told him. "I probably overreacted."
"I think we both did." He said.
"Here, get in." I told him. "What?" He asked. "Get in. It is relaxing, it will help." I told him. "Are you sure?" He asked. "Yes! Now get in." I told him. He got undressed and climbed in with me. I had my back against the wall, so Mikey sat between my legs. "Lean back." I told him. He leaned back so he was laying on me. I grabbed my loufa and squeezed water over him. "There, feel better?" I asked. "Yeah, a lot better. Thanks!" He said. We sat in the for a while, and I started to get all pruney. "I think we should get out now." I whispered. "Okay. I was enjoying myself though." He said. I just laughed. We both climbed out and dried off.
I walked into the bedroom to find something to wear and I heard Mikey throw up again. "Yuck." I said quietly to myself. I put on my white skirt and my rainbow striped tube top. I brushed my hair and went out to the kitchen to find something to eat. Ben was making eggs. "How is Amy?" I asked him.
"She got up to puke and stumbled right back into bed. She fell right back to sleep." He said laughing.
"She puked on her pants, so I took them off her. I'm run down and do a load of laundry after I eat." He said.
"Mikey threw up twice since he got up." I said. "It was disgusting."
Ben laughed. He sat down on the couch with his plate of eggs.
I walked into the bedroom to find something to wear and I heard Mikey throw up again. "Yuck." I said quietly to myself. I put on my white skirt and my rainbow striped tube top. I brushed my hair and went out to the kitchen to find something to eat. Ben was making eggs. "How is Amy?" I asked him.

I made myself a plate and sat down on the floor in front of the TV. He started laughing and shaking his head.
"What?" I asked.
"Oh just embarassed." He said.
"Of what?" I asked. "This morning?"
"Yeah." He blushed.
I laughed and went back to eating.
Mikey walked out of the bedroom.
"You alright, man?" Ben asked him.
"Yeah." He replied. He layed down on the couch. "Fuck." He said yawning. My cell phone rang, so I jumped up to pick it up. It was Cody. He wanted to come over, so I told him to.
I put my plate in the sink, and did the few dishes that were in there. I got a glass of water for Mikey and made him drink most of it. Ben had moved over to the recliner so Mikey could lay down on the couch. I went over and sat in his lap. "So, why are you having Cody come over?" Ben asked me. "Why not?" I asked him. "Didn't you see what he wanted last night?" He asked me. "It's okay. We talked about it." I told him. "Whatever." Ben said. He wrapped his arms around me. "I just don't want to see you get hurt." Ben said. "I'll be fine." I told Ben. A few minutes later the doorbell rang.
"We're just friends." I told Ben as I walked to the door. I opened it and it was Cody. "Hello!" I said. "What do you want to do?"
"Whatever you want to do." He said.
"Okay. You can't complain then." I told him. I took his hand and we went to the bedroom. I closed the door.
"What are we going to do?" He asked.
I went to my closet and pulled out Scrabble. He laughed when he saw it. "You're never going to win. I don't know why you always have to challenge me."
I glared at him. "Shut up." I layed down on the floor and set up the board. He sighed and layed down on the other side of the board.
"You said whatever I want to do!" I told him. He just laughed at me. We played for an hour before we ran out of tiles. I won as usual. "You are a LOSER!" I said, holding my fingers in the L shape on my forehead. He just started laughing. "So, now what do you want to do?" He asked me.
I put the game away. "I don't know."
"You wanna just watch The Simpsons?" He asked.
"Sure." I said.
He put Season 3 in the DVD player and turned it on. I layed down on my bed. He layed down next to me.
We watched a few episodes. "This is kind of boring." Cody said. "I'm sorry." I told him. "Do you want to go do something?" He asked. "I don't know, what?" I asked him. "I don't know. What did we used to do?" He asked me.

I sat up and he rested his head on my lap. "Well, what do you want to do?" I asked him.
"Ahh, I don't know." He said.
Mikey walked into the bedroom. "I'm sorry guys, but I feel like shit. I'm going to take a nap." He told us.
"That's fine." I said. He layed down in his bed and rolled onto his side.
"What do you want to do?" I whispered.
"Well, I can think of something I'd like to do, but I know you won't be up for it." He said.
I rolled my eyes.
"See, told ya!" He said laughing. "Let's just go to the mall." I told him. "Sounds good to me!" He said. We walked out of the room, and I put a blanket over Mikey. When we walked out of the room Ben was on the computer. "Where you guys going?" He asked. "Just to the mall." I told him.
"Have fun." Ben said making fun.
"Shut up." I told him. I grabbed my purse and we left.
"What stores do you want to go to?" I asked him.
"The Hobby Store and Toys R Us." He said.
"I should have known." I said. We parked at the mall and got out of the car.
"Yes you should have known." He said.
I rolled my eyes. We walked into the Hobby Store and I followed him around. Everything he looked at was boring to me. He bought a model airplace and a model car. Then on the way out, he saw battery packs for his remote control car, so he stopped and bought one of those too. "Where to now?" He asked as we walked out of the store.
"Wet Seal." I said.
"Damn." He said.
"Shut up." I told him. We walked into Wet Seal. I found a few things I wanted to try on. I made him hold my purse while I tried on the clothes. I made a point to show him everything, just to bug him. I loved doing that to him. I always have to get one ugly thing too to pretend I liked it. He wouldn't even look and he would tell me it looked good. I tried on this ugly brown snake skin skirt and walked out of the dressing room. I checked myself out in the mirror. "Are you fucking kidding me?" He asked.
"What? It accents my butt." I told him. He gave me a weird look.
"It's amazing that you are actually looking." I told him.
"Well, I am looking and not liking what I see. It looks ridiculous." He said. "I can't beleive you like it."
"Well, I am getting it." I told him. I walked back into the dressing room. I could hardly get the damn skirt off cause it was so tight. I decided not to buy anything. Just some earrings I saw when I first walked in to the store.
"I thought you were getting that skirt." He said.
"I was kidding. It's hidious!" I told him.
He glared at me. "Okay so you tried on fifty things and you aren't getting anything?"
I picked up the earrings. "I'm getting these." I smiled.
"Oh my god." He said. I paid for the earrings and we headed to Spencers. That was our favorite store to go to together. We liked to make fun of the silly things in there.
We walked around the store laughing at things. Cody picked up EVERY sexual thing and suggested we try it. I was getting really annoyed. "Oh look! Sex Dice!" He shouted. "Don't even suggest it!" I said again. "Sorry!" He said. "Cody, why can't we be friends?" I asked. "Jenna, I have always liked you. I never thought you might be interested in me untill the other night. Now I can't get you out of my head." He said. "Oh my god." I said, turning and walking out of the store.
"What?" He asked following me.
"Nothing. We are going to Charlotte Russe." I said walking towards the store.
"Ahhh!" He shouted. A bunch of people turned and looked at him.
"You're embarassing." I whispered to him. "Don't be so loud."
We walked into the Charlotte Russe. "Try that on for me." He said pointing at a very skimpy swim suit.
"I don't wear that shit." I told him.
"Chill out. Shit." He said. "I was kidding."
"You were not kidding." I told him.
He laughed and I rolled my eyes. "You are so cute when you're angry." He told me giggling.
I looked through the clearance rack and found a really cute black and white striped shirt. It was fitted and it had long sleeves. I tried it on and it looked really cute! I paid for it and we headed to Toys R Us.
He was being so immature and playing with everything! I was starting to get really annoyed. I think he noticed because he suggested we just go home. I agreed and we left. He dropped me off at my apartment, and left. When I walked inside Ben was still on the computer. "How did it go?" He asked. "Cody is so annoying! He just wants to sleep with me again!" I shouted. Ben logged off the computer, and walked over and sat with me on the couch. "Wanna talk?" He asked. "I guess. I just don't want to be alone anymore! I havn't dated anyone since Jacob, and that was six months ago!" I told him. "Don't be silly! YOu aren't going to die alone or anything! You are very pretty, and smart, and funny." He said. "Thanks." I told him. I layed down and rested my head in his lap. He played with my hair. "We always play with eachothers hair." He said. I laughed. "Where did that come from?" I asked, looking up at him. "Just a funny thought." He said, smiling at me. I stuck my tounge out at him.
Amy walked out of her bedroom holding her head.
"Hey." Ben said standing up. "You need anything? Are you feeling okay?"
She laughed. "I'm fine, Ben." She mumbled.
He gave her a hug and kissed her loudly on the cheek. "Our room mates are dorks, Jen." She told me.
"I know." I said smiling. Just then Mikey walked out of our bedroom.
"Didn't mean to kick you and Cody out earlier." He told me.
I threw my hand in the air. "Eh, no problem."
"I'm gonna make some ramen. Anyone want?" Amy asked.
"I'll make it." Ben said running to the kitchen. Amy sighed. "Whatever." She sat down on the couch and layed back.
"Who wants some?" Ben asked.
We all said we wanted some, so he made four packets. I sat down on the love seat and Mikey layed down on my lap. I put my hand on his forehead. "Feeling better?" I asked smiling.
"Much better." He said.
Amy turned on the TV. She switched the channel to TV Land. "You and fucking TV Land." Mikey said.
"Shut up. I grew up watching this stuff. I love it." She said. The Andy Griffith Show was ending and The Munsters came on.
Mike grabed my hand and held onto it. "What is it?" I asked him. "You just make me feel better." He said. "Okay." I told him. He kissed my hand, and I smiled. Ben came out with the ramen, and handed us all a bowl.
"Thanks, hun." Amy told him.
He winked. "No sweat."
We all sat there watching The Munsters. As soon as the show was over, I Dream of Genie came on and Cody called me. I went to my bedroom to take the call. "Hello?" I said.
"Hello. How are you?" He asked.
"I'm fine. Just hanging out." I told him.
"It's Thursday night." He said.
"I didn't realize it was Thursday." I told him.
"You always look forward to it." He said.
"Come get me." I said annoyed and hung up the phone.
Every Thursday night around 5:00, Cody and I go to the video store and rent a movie to watch together. I don't know why he was starting to get on my nerves all of a sudden. He hadn't changed much. I guess I am just getting sick of his sexual comments. I grabbed my purse and stood by the door.
"Where are you going?" Mikey asked.
"It's movie night." I said.
"Oh that's right." Amy said.
"Don't sound too excited." Mikey said sarcastically.
I smiled at him. "Shut up."
Cody called me from the parking lot to tell me he was there. I guess he didn't want to see everyone. I walked out and go in his car. "So, what are you in the mood for?" He asked. "I don't know." I said. We got to the video store and there was a really geeky guy working the counter. "HELLO!" He shouted when we came in. I just gave him a weird look and kept walking.
Cody laughed. "So, how about a thriller?"
"Whatever you want is fine." I said.
"Okay." He said. We walked to the Horror section. I pretended I was looking through the movies. "See anything good?" He asked.
"Not yet." I said smiling.
"How about this?" He asked holding up The Exorcist.
"Okay." I said.
We went to the counter to rent the movie.
"Did you find everything you needed?" The guy asked very enthusiastically with a huge smile on his face.
"Yes, I did!" Cody said smiling really big showing his teeth.
I elbowed him in the arm. "Hey!" He said looking at me. The guy looked up. He still had a huge smile on his face. "Yes?" He asked.
"I was talking to her." Cody told him.
I started laughing! They guy rang us up and we left giggling. We drove to Cody's house to watch the movie. I didn't want to bother Amy or Mikey. Cody shared a house with some other guys that were all going to college. I said hi to everyone, and we walked back to his room. He put the movie in, and I propped up his pillows so we could sit against them to watch the movie. Cody turned the lights off, and pressed play. I kept getting scared during the whole thing! I would jump, and Cody would hold onto me. When it was over he turned the light on. "What did you think?" He asked. "Scared the crap out of me!" I told him. "I know." He said. I realized I was still holding onto him, and started laughing. "I'm sorry if I've been pushy or anything." Cody said. "It's okay. I just don't want to ruin our friendship." I told him smiling. "I know. I guess I have always kind of liked you, but didn't realize how much untill the other night." He said. I didn't know what to say, so I just smiled again. "YOu are so pretty." He wispered. "You are so cheesey!" I said, messing up his hair. "Hey! Watch it!" He shouted, and started tickling me. I jumped up, and tripped trying to get off the bed. He put out his hand to help me up. He pulled me up, and we both stood there facing each other. He started kissing me. I decided to let him this time. I was curious to see what it really was like.
We kissed until I stopped him when he tried to put his hands up my shirt. "Can you take me home now?" I asked him grabbing my purse.
"You're not staying over?" He asked.
"Cody, it's weird now." I told him.
"Damn It!" He shouted. "Nevermind! I'll find my own way home!" I said walking out. I left and walked to the gas station on the corner. I sat on the bench outside and called Ben. "Hey." He answered. "I need a ride home." I told him. I told him where I was. "I'm on my way." He said.
Cody pulled up as soon as I hung up the phone. He got out of his car and walked up to me.
"What is happening to us?" He asked with his arms in the air.
"Cody, you know what happen. And it did exactly what I knew it was going to do." I told him.
"Come back with me." He said.
"Ben is picking me up." I told him.
"Am I still your best friend?" He asked.
"Cody of course you are." I told him.
"Doesn't seem like it anymore." He said softly.
I sighed and called Ben to tell him nevermind. I got in Cody's car and we drove back to his place. We went straigt to his bedroom. He turned on 50 First Dates and we layed down in his bed. He sat up, so I got up and sat in front of him between his legs and layed back on his chest. He put his arms around me. I didn't want things to be awkward, so I figured I would do something we always did before.
We kept laughing through the whole movie. We had watched it dozens of times, so we would quote the movie to each other. When it was over, Cody turned off the dvd player, and turned on his stereo. We sat like that for a while listening to music.
He lightly ran his fingers up and down my leg. "Friends?" He asked.
"Of course, Cody. Stop questioning it." I told him nicely.
"I'm sorry. I guess I just worry about it now." He said.
"Well, stop worrying." I said.
"Okay." He said. He kissed the top of my head. I tilted my head back and looked up at him. He kissed my forehead. I smiled.
"Ready for bed?" He asked.
"Yeah I guess." I said.
We climbed under the blankets and Cody turned off his lamp, and put the music on really low. He wrapped his arm around me, and we both layed like we had every Thursday night for at least six months. I started thinking about our friendship. The more I thought about it, the weirder it seemed. It was like we were dating, but withought the actual relationship or sex.
"Goodnight." He said.
"Night." I said.
We feel asleep soon after. The next morning, I woke up and he was still asleep. I decided to just let him sleep and I had Ben come pick me up.
Ben go there, and he was blasting the Beastie Boys. "You dork!" I yelled at him. "Hey! Don't knock the boys!" He shouted over the music. I climbed in, and we drove around for a while, blasting the music and singing along.
He turned down the music. "You and Cody hook up again?" He asked.
I gave him a dirty look. "No."
"Why not?"
I didn't answer him.
"Just asking, shit." He said.
We got to our apartment and I went straight to my room. I was so tired. Mikey was still sleeping. I went back to bed and fell asleep quickly.
I woke up later that morning to someone tickling my nose. I didn't open my eyes. I was awake enough to know they were up to something. I could feel something cold in my hand. I opened my eyes just barely so that I could see somebodys face close to mine, but they could tell I opened my eyes. I readied the hand that held what I was pretty sure was shaving cream. Then, I jumped up, shouted "BOO!", and slapped them with the shaving cream. I nailed Mikey right smack in the face. Ben and Amy were standing behind him laughing. "Told you she wouldn't fall for it!" Amy shouted laughing. Mikey wiped shaving cream off his face.
He jumped on top of me and started rubbing his face against mine. The shaving cream got all over my face and neck. He sat up, still on top of me and wiped what was left on his hand onto my face. I spit on him. "Ew! You got it in my mouth!" I shouted.
They all laughed and made me laugh. I grabbed his arms and pulled him close to me so the shaving cream would get on him. I put my arms around him tightly so he couldn't get up. I just layed his head down on the pillow and laughed.
He started tickling me, so I let him up. I jumped out of bed and ran to the bathroom to get cleaned up. I locked the door, and got in the shower. When I came back out, they had all left the room. My bed had shaving cream all over it. "MIKEY!" I shouted. "YOU ARE SOOOO CLEANING THIS UP!" I yelled. I had to go to work that night, so I didn't have time to.
He walked into the bedroom. "Chill out. I'll clean it up." He said.
"I can't beleive you woke me up. Now I'm going to be a huge grouch at work."
"It's okay. Your tough girl attitude will get you tips." He said.
"Shut up." I told him. I went to my closet to find something to wear. I put on my black mini skirt and my brown haltor top. I loaded on my make up, curled my hair and put on my black high heels. I sprayed on some perfume and grabbed my purse. "Damn." Mikey said staring at me.
"Thanks." I said smiling. "Ready Amy?!" I shouted as I picked up my black cowboy hat off the floor.
"One second!" She yelled.
"Wow." Ben said looking at me. I rolled my eyes. "Why are you guys acting like this is the first time you've seen me dressed for work?" I asked.
They both looked away and started playing their video game. Amy walked out in her black and brown plaid mini skirt and a black tank top. Her hair was teased and up in a high pony tail.
"Bye." We said to the boys and headed to work.
"I've gotta get good tips tonight if I want to make rent." Amy said. "I spent way too much fucking money this month."
We pulled up to the Rodeo Saloon and got out. We adjusted our skirts and tops. "You look super cute." Amy told me.
I smiled. "Thanks. So do you."
We went inside and it was very loud as always. Full of drink people and blaring country music. Every so often they would just throw in a good rock song or a dance song. We went to the back to wait for our shift to start. Amy lit up a cigarette. We only smoked at work and we didn't really know why. It was just part of our routine. It just went along with the drinking and dancing. We each took a shot of Tequila and finished the cigarette. We went out to the front and started taking drink orders. After about an hour, the place was packed. There was a list of songs that we all had to dance to on the bar if they came on. I was still in a bad mood, so I wasn't looking forward to it.
Kelly was bartending with Adrian, so I felt a little better. I was friends with Kelly, and got along with Adrian. He was there to keep our female customers happy. He was very attractive, and was known to give a little dance or two on the bar if he got tipped well! It was pretty rare for the bar tenders to get up though, that was mainly left up to the waitresses. There were a couple waiters, again for our femail customers, but a majority of the staff was female. Ray and Samantha were working the floor with Amy and I. We were short staffed for the ammount of people there, but I tried to tell myself it just meant more tips for us. I got lucky and my first table was a group of young guys. I walked over, put on my fake western accent, and took their order. "What can I get chay'all ta drink?" I asked. It was a high table, so I leaned on it to write, and try to show off my clevage. I was determaned to make good tips.
"Black and Tan." One of them said. I looked up at the next guy.
"I'll take um." He looked at the menu. "I think I'll take your number." He said. They all laughed.
I smiled. "Maybe if you're lucky." I said trying not to get upset.
"Killians." He said.
I took the rest of their orders and walked away shaking my butt. When I got to the bar, I looked back and they were all watching me. I winked at them. I went behind the bar and got their drinks. Kelly helped me walk them all to the table. "Who's your friend?" A guy asked. I put my arm around her. "Kelly." We gave eachother a sexy look and she giggled and walked away. I smiled. "Anything else you need?" I asked them.
"Nope." One of them said.
"Alrighty. Flag me down if ya'll need anything." I said, walking back to the bar. I took some more drink orders from some of the other tables. The Jessica Simpson remake of "These Boots Were Made For Walkin" came on the jukebox. "Oh shit!" I mumbled. "Hang in there!" Adrian said. He slipped me another shot, and Climbed up onto the bar with me. We both danced a little skit to the song. Every time I smacked him around the guys would all cheer. Samantha and Amy were busy taking orders, so I made a mental note to make sure they danced the next song. For the last line in the song, I pulled Adrian close, pretending to kiss him. When he went in for it, I pushed him away, and he pretended to fall backwards. I grabbed the color of his shirt, and lip synched the last few words, "These boots are gonna walk...right...over...YOU!" the crowd cheered.
Adrian and I laughed. He helped me off the bar and I went to the back to take a break. I went to the bathroom to touch up my make up. A girl was in there throwing up. It grossed me out. I rushed out of the bathroom to the back of the bar. Kelly was eating French Fries. "Eat some." She said with her mouth full. "David brought me McDonalds."
I sat down next to her and munched on her fries. I was so hungry. I could have eaten them all, but I would have felt bad if I did.
"I am stuffed." She said pushing the fries over to me. She stood up and smiled. "They are yours. I gotta get back inside." She pulled her shirt down a little and left. I ate the rest of the fries and drank some water. I sat there for a few more minutes and went back to the front. I looked at the time and it was almost time for the bar to close. I looked over and Amy was signaling me to get up on the bar. "Last song." Adrian said tapping my butt as he walked by. We all hopped onto the bar and the Country Song, The Shake started blaring through the speakers. We all danced and Kelly let a guy do a Tequilla shot off her stomach. We were all laughing and having a great time. When the song was over, it was clean up time. We kicked everyone out of the bar and cleaned everything up. I got stuck mopping, which sucked! When I finished mopping, I wiped down the bar. Then I just sat down and waited for Amy to finished clearing off the tables. "See you in a few days." Adrian said as he left. "Bye!" I shouted smiling.
"Oh my God!" Amy said. "What?" I asked. "Just go out with Adrian all ready!" She said. "What? NO!" I told her. "Oh please! You both totaly like each other." She said. "I don't think so." I said again. "Oh come on! He flirts with you all night. Kelly and I talk about it all the time." Amy said. "Really? You think he does?" I asked her. "Honey, I KNOW he does!" She said. I just laughed. "Well, maybe I'll just have to throw on some Jenna charm." I said, and she laughed at me. It was only 1:00, so it was early for us. We called Ben and Mikey, but they didn't answer, meaning they were asleep. We walked out to the parking lot and the group of guys I had waited on earlier were all at their truck carrying on. "Oh shit." I said. "What?" Amy asked me. "Trouble." I muttered. Sure enough, the one that asked me for my number and who my 'friend' was all night shouted and waved at me. "Hey! Cowgirl!" He shouted, slurring. Amy and I just kept walking to the car. "Hey!" He shouted again. I looked up at him. "WHAT?!" I shouted back.
"You girls want to go to a party?" He asked.
I looked at Amy. "No." She said quietly. We ignored them and got in the car. We drove back to our apartment. The guys were asleep in the living room. Ben was on the floor and Mikey was on the couch. Their video game was still on. Amy turned it off and kicked Ben.
"Hey, come to bed." I told Mikey as I shook him. He opened his eyes and sat up. He sat there staring at the tv for a minute and then stood up and walked to the bedroom. Amy was trying to wake up Ben. He is always hard to wake up. She slapped him lightly on the cheek and he woke up. I laughed and went to my bedroom. Mikey was in my bed.
"Get out of my bed!" I said, laughing. "I cleaned it for you." He said, making a pouty face, and trying not to laugh. "And? It's my bed! I'm not sleeping in yours!" I shouted at him. "I didn't say you had to." He said, winking. "Oh please!" I shouted, laughing. I walked over, grabbed his arm and tried to pull him out of my bed. "Mikey!" I whined. "What?" He asked. "I want to go to bed!" I told him. "Shh.." He said, holding up his finger. He was listening to something. I heard a thumping too. Mikey got up and we walked out of the room. It was coming from Ben and Amy's room. We walked through the living room, and dining room to get to there foom, and we listend. "uh!" I gasped. "Are they having sex?" Mikey mouthed. We heard a moan. I coverd my mouth so I wouldn't giggle and make noise. Mikey and I ran back to our room, shut the door and started laughing. "OH MY GOD!" I said. "I know! They are so doing it!" Mikey said, jumping back in my bed. "HEY!" I shouted, still laughing.
I went to the bathroom and washed my make up off. As I was patting my face dry with the towel, Mikey barged in and picked me up. He ran to his bed and jumped on it still holding me. "What the hell!" I said. I wacked him in the butt with the towel. "Ouch!" He shouted.
I got up laughing and went to my dresser to find something to wear to bed. I went to the bathroom and changed. When I got back, he was laying in my bed with the covers over his head. "You are such a dork!" I told him.
I pulled the blankets off and he was Naked. "MIKEY!" I shouted. "What? Oh sorry." He said grinning. "No you arent." I said, laughing. "Okay, no I'm not. Come on." He said, motioning for me to climb in. "Mikey, come on." I said. "What?" He asked. "We are friends!" I told him. "So?" He asked. I just looked at him. "You said the other night you thought I was atractive." He said. "Oh my god!" I said. "Come on Jenna." He said making a pouty face again. I turned the light off and climbed into bed.
He rolled over on top of me. "Mikey!" I shouted.
"What?" He said annoyed. "Fine!" He rolled over me and went to his bed. I thought for a minute and decided to go fool around with him. I giggled and walked to his bed. I slapped his butt. "OUCH!" He yelled. I laughed and climbed into his bed. "What are you doing?" He asked. I put my hand on the back of his head and pulled him towards me. "This!" I screamed and started to kiss him.
"You aren't messing with me again, are you?" He asked. "No." I said, taking of my tanktop. "Well, okay then." He said, and kissed me. We made out and fooled around for a while when he stopped. "What?" I asked. "Is this stopping here?" He asked. "Because if it is, i need to know so I can make a trip to the bathroom. "HUH!" I gasped, and then giggled. "Hey, can't help it." He said chuckling. "No, you can keep going." I told him. "Are you sure?" He asked. "Yes!" I said.
"Wow." He said. I kissed his neck and chest. "Okay whoa, should we be doing this?" He asked sounding nervous. I sat up and he was staring at my boobs. I gave him a strange look.
"Okay. Yes, we should be doing this." He said.
I laughed.
I slid back down, and he climbed on top of me. He kept looking at my boobs, so I pushed him off, and climbed on top of him. "Better view?" I asked, and he started laughing. We had sex, and Mikey was pretty good. I guess I wasn't sure how it would be since we were just friends. When we were done, I climbed out of bed and went to mine. "We should do that again." Mikey said. I just laughed. "Night." I said. "Night." He replied.
I woke up in the middle of the night and I was really thirsty. I went to the kitchen to get something to drink. Amy was sitting in the living room watching TV. "Hey." She whispered. I got some water and walked over to her. "What are you doing up?" I whispered to her.
"I slept with Ben. Jenna, I am such an idiot." She said. "Now I made the same mistake you did. I don't know what the hell I was thinking."
"Oh wow." I said sitting down.
"Are you okay?" She asked me softly.
I put my hand on my head and fell back onto the couch. "I slept with Mikey."
Her eyes got big. "What?!" She said loudly.
"Shh."
"Oh my god." She said.
We both started laughing. "What did we do?" She asked. "I don't know. I don't think it will change anything though. At least with Ben and Mikey there were no feelings involved. Right?" I asked. "Yeah. I don't see any of us actually dating!" She said laughing. "God, we are horrible." I said. "I know!" She said back. Ben walked out a minute later. "Hey, what are you two doing up?" He asked. Amy and I started laughing. "What?" He asked. "Oh nothing." I said. Amy turned the TV off. "Good night Jenna." She said. "Night." I told her. She went back to the room with Ben, and I went back to my room and climbed in bed.
When I woke up the next morning everyone was still asleep, so I decided to go for a quick jog. I hadn't been running for a while. I changed and left. When I got back a half our later everyone was up. All four of us kept laughing and smirking without saying a word. "Okay, why the fuck is everyone laughing this morning?" Ben finally asked.
Amy gave him a strange look. "What?" He asked her. He rolled his eyes and laughed.
"What does that have to do with them?" He asked her.
Mikey looked confused. "They did it too!" Amy blurted out. She covered her mouth and started laughing.
"Amy!" I said hitting her laughing.
"You two hooked up?" Ben asked pointing at Mikey and I. I nodded. Mikey looked mad.
"Oh cool your jets." Amy told Mikey.
"I always thought that if I hooked up with either of you, it would be you." Ben said pointing at me.
"Excuse me?" Amy said.
"What? Who cares. We are all friends here." He said.
"Dude! I can't believe you just said that!" Mikey said. "I'm sorry Amy, I didn't mean that." Ben said. "Fuck you." She said. She got up, went to her room and shut the door. "Nice one Ben!" Mikey said. "What?" He asked. Mikey got up and followed Amy to her room. He opened it and walked in, shutting the door. "Why did you say that?" I asked Ben. "Because, i thought you and I would hook up." Ben said. "Ben, you slept with Amy before Mike and I slept together. We heard you." I said. "What?" He asked. "Oh my God! This was all a mistake!" I said, getting mad. "I'm sorry! I shouldn't have said that! I guess I had a stupid moment of weird jealousy!" He said. "Unbelieavable!" I said again, standing up. "WAIT! I'm sorry! Please don't be mad at me!" Ben said, getting up too. He grabbed my arm, and pulled me towards him. "Please?" He asked. "Of course I'm not mad at you. We were all kind of stupid, I guess." I told him. He kissed me. Amy and Mikey walked out. "SHIT!" She shouted, running back in the room and slamming the door. "Damn it!" I said to Ben. This time I went to go to Amy, but this time she had locked the door.
I just kept walking. He followed me back and shut the door. "Hey, I don't want things to be weird. I did enjoy myslef last night. I thought you did too." He said. "I did." I told him. That was just a fucked up thing for Ben to say!" I told him. "It was, and I agree. That doesn't mean you and I have to fight, right?" He asked. "NO." I told him. "Well, you are one of the closest friends I've had, and the only roomate I've gotten along with. I'm sorry if I did something wrong." He said. "No, don't be sorry. I'm mad at Ben, and a little at myself I guess. We are still friends Mikey." I told him. "Okay. Thanks." He said smiling. "Can I go kick the shit out of Ben now?" He asked me. "Please do!" I said. I got up out of my bed and got in the shower. I felt gross after running, and showers helped me relax. When I got out I could hear Ben and Mikey arguing.
I got dressed and walked out to the living room.
"SHUT THE FUCK UP!" Amy screamed from her bedroom.
"She is trying to take a nap." I told them.
Mikey glared at me and went to our bedroom.
"I meant what I said. I'm not taking it back." He said. "Take a walk with me please."
"Let me brush my hair real quick." I told him.
I went to my room and brushed my hair. "I'm going for a walk." I told Mikey. "Let's go." I said looking at Ben. We walked outside and started walking through the grass area at the apartments.
"Well?" I asked. "You wanted to take a walk?" I said. "I know. I just don't know what to say. I shouldn't have said that to Amy, but that is how I feel. I always thought you and I had the most in common. I wasn't going to sleep with Amy, but she kept coming on to me. She said she it wouldn't mean anything, we could still be friends. I don't know what I was thinking." Ben confessed. "Weird. That is What Mikey said to me." I told him. "Really?" He asked. "Yeah. Mikey has been trying for a couple days." I said. "Yeah, Amy too." He told me. "Okay, we better stop. I think we are looking way too into this." I told him. "Yeah, you are probably right. Anyway, I did mean what I said. I had always hoped one day you and I would get together. Not just for sex either." He said, smirking.
I sighed.
"What?" He laughed.
"I'm not going to get involved with any more of my friends." I told him.
"Maybe you shouldn't take showers and baths with Mikey." He said.
I rolled my eyes. "I'll do whatever I want with Mikey."
"Okay."
"We're very good friends. We both know we can be ridiculous and imature together. It's great." I said.
Ben laughed. "You can be silly with me too."
"Not AS silly. Trust me. People probably don't even want to know half of the things we do." I started laughing thinking about some of the things we did.
"Like what?" Ben asked. "I am NOT going there!" I told him. "Come on! I want to have fun with you too!" Ben said. I stood up and started walking back to the apartment laughing. Ben got up and tackled me into the grass. "Tell me, or I'll like you." he said, pinning me down. "You wouldn't dare!" I said, laughing. He licked my forehead. "EWWWWWW!" I squeeled.
I saw Cody walking up the sidewalk. "Let me go, Cody is here." I whispered. Ben jumped up.
"Hello!" I said to Cody.
"Hey." He said. He gave me a hug and the three of us walked back to the apartment. Ben looked jelous. Amy was making herself a sandwich when we walked in. "Hey, Cody. Hey, Jen." She said. She finished making her sandwich and went to her room. Cody and I went to my bedroom. Mikey was in the shower.
"Why is everyone acting so weird?" He asked me. "You don't want to know!" I said. "I do." He said. "Um, no you don't." I said laughing. "Whatever." He said. I just laughed. "So what brings you here this fine day?" I asked him. "You are such a dork!" He said.
I laughed.
Mikey walked out of the bathroom in a towel.
"Hi Cody." Mikey said.
"What's up, Mike?" Cody asked.
Mike took some clothes out of the closet. "Not much. I gotta go to my parents for dinner."
"Aw." I said.
"What?" Mikey asked. He went back to the bathroom.
"I always wanted to meet his family." I told Cody. "I heard they are really funny."
"Oh." Cody said sounding uninterested.
I laughed. "What do you want to do?"
"I don't know. Hang out." He said. "You came over, and you have no idea what to do?" I asked him. "Yeah. I was just bored." he said. "Oh, I see." I replied. Ben walked into the room just as Mikey was getting out of the bathroom. "Hey, get out of my room! I don't want to see you in here." Mikey yelled at Ben. "Fuck, I was just telling your ROOMATE that her mother is on the phone!" Ben yelled back. "Don't tell me about ROOMATES!" Mikey shouted back. "SHUT UP! BOTH OF YOU!" Amy yelled. "JENNA PHONE!" she shouted after that. "I'll be right back Cody." I said. I got up and walked out to answer the phone. Ben followed me out.

"Hi honey." She said. "I wanted to invite you to dinner. Your Grandmother is in town, so we're having a last minute dinner."
"Can I bring Cody?" I asked her.
"Of course!" She said. "His parents are coming over too."

"They tried to get ahold of him and didn't hear anything back." She said.
"Oh well, he is here. I'll let him know." I said.
"Okay, see you soon." She said.
"Okay, bye." I said. I hung up the phone and walked to the bedroom. "Dinner at my parents." I told Cody.
"Alright." He said.
"What do we do untill then?" He asked. "I don't know. Do you want to just hang out at the park for a bit or something?" I asked him. "Yeah, sure." He said. I got my purse and we headed out. "I have to work again tonight. I go in at 11:00, think you can give me a ride back here at 10:00 so I can change?" I asked him. "Of course! Maybe I'll come see you tonight!" He said, smiling. I kicked him in the butt. "Hey!" He shouted, laughing.
"I like watching you dance." He said.
"Shut up." I told him.
We got in his car and headed to the park. We both went running to the swings. I beat him there. We were both out of breath and laughing. "Beat ya!" I said.
"I let you win." He said.
"Oh yeah right." I said.
We sat down on the swings. "So Grandma? She is freakin nuts." He said.
I laughed. "She doesn't know any better anymore. She's old." I said.
"She cusses and points out everyones flaws." He said laughing.
"I know." I said. I laughed. "She really doesn't know any better. She doesn't realize if she is being rude."
We talked for a while until it was time to head over to my parents house. We drove to their house and walked in. "Hey kids." Cody's Dad Clark said to us. He gave us each a hug. My older brother, Thomas was sitting on the floor playing Tetris with Cody's little brother Adam.
We didn't bother to interupt them. We went to the kitchen. Our Mom's were setting the kitchen table. "Hello." I said smiling. "Well hi." My Mom said. "I'd hug ya, but my hands are greasy." She said.
Grandma came walking down the hall way. "Is that the queer?" She asked my Dad who was walking behind her.
"Who?" Dad asked. She pointed at Cody. He got a strange look on his face.
"No Ma. He's not queer." Dad told her. Cody left the room. I thought he was upset, so I followed him. He went into the laundry room. I walked up to him and he was dying laughing. He made me laugh really hard too.
I started to fall over, and Cody caught me. "Where ya going?" He asked. We both started laughing hard again. We were holding eachother, and cracking up when Grandma walked in. She shouted, and screamed. "What? WHAT?" I heard my dad yell. HE opened the door and saw Cody and I hugging. He looked mad at first untll He realized we were laughing. He started laughing too. "She is a slut! And he he is a queer!" Grandma yelled, pointing. My dad pulled her away, and peeked his head in the door. "You two kids stop laughing and get out here!" He said, trying not to smile.
"Dinner is ready!" Mom shouted. We all sat down at the table.
Our Dads started discussing football. Mom and I looked at eachother and rolled our eyes.
"So, Betty. What have you been up to? Are you still involved in Curves?" Cody's Mom, Judy asked my Mom.
"Actually, I started doing Yoga." Mom said.
"Oh, that's nice." Judy said. "I am doing Pilates right now. I do it two hours a day. It sure is tiring, but it works really well for me."
They continued to talk about aerobics and working out while Our Dads continued to discuss and argue about football. "So. . ." I said looking at all of us kids.
Thomas looked at me. "Are you two dating yet?" He asked with a smirk on his face. I gave him a dirty look.
"They probably are secretly." Adam said.
"You want me to kick your ass, Adam?" Cody asked him jokingly.
"You queer boys couldn't kick anyones ass." Grandma told us.
We all started laughing.
"It's not funny. Pipe down your asses." Grandma said starting to sound frustrated.
My Mom gave me the evil eye, which was a sign to be good. I started filling my plate with food and tried not to think about it. I kept thinking in my head, Grandma said queer, Grandma said queer. I started laughing again. My Dad looked at me with his wide eyes like I was in trouble. "Sorry." I mouthed to him.
"Cody and Jenna sitting in a tree..." Adam started whispering. Cody punched him. "OW!" Adam shouted. "COdy!" His mom yelled. "What?" He asked. His mom gave him a dirty look. "So when is the baby do?" My grandma asked me. "Excuse me grandma?" I asked her. "The BABY! You've been sleeping with that queer boy, when's the baby do?" She asked. Cody blushed and I kicked him under the table. Thomas and Adam started laughing. "Oh god!" I said, putting my head in my hands. "Grandma, Jenna is not having a baby." My dad told her. "Fine. Tell her to stay away from queer boy over there!" Grandma said. Thomas, Adam, Cody and I were all dying laughing. My mom pointed to the living room and made us all go in there.
"Grandma is going insane." Thomas said.
We all went to the living room.
"Where is they going?" Grandma asked my Dad.
"Don't worry, Mother. Just eat." He told her.
Adam turned on the TV and Road Rules was on. We watched that for a little while until the family was done eating. Then, the four of us went back to the table to finish eating. My sisters Amber and Heather showed up when we were done eating. Amber is twenty and Heather is twenty-two. Amber was wearing huge sunglasses with white rims. I thought they were really cute, but I had to tease her anyway. "Wearing Grandma's sunglasses?" I asked her as I hugged her.
She put them on her head. "You are just jelous because I look good in sunglasses and you don't." She said smirking. Amber is the only one of us with light blond hair. Heather and I have brown hair.
"Come eat girls!" Mom told them. They went to the kitchen. I was getting bored with the boys, so I sat down at the kitchen table with my sisters.
We were all close since we were so close in age. In school people would call us triplets. I was 21, and right in the middle. Amber kept talking about some guy she had met, and wouldn't let Heather and I say anything. I got annoyed and dismissed myself. I went outside and sat on the porch to watch the sun go down. Cody came out a minute later.
"What's wrong?" He asked.
"Oh nothing." I said. "Just got bored of listening to Amber ramble about some guy she's crushing over."
"She tends to do that a lot." He said. "Not just about her crushes though."
I laughed. "I know."
"You want to get outta here?" He asked.
"No. Not yet." I said. "I'm just getting some fresh air."
"Okay." He said.
We both just stood there for a few minutes enjoying the nice breeze.
"Okay, we can go back inside now." I said.
He laughed at me. "Alright, silly."
We went back inside. Cody sat back down in the living room. Fear Factor was on the TV now. I didn't feel like watching it. I noticed my Mom doing dishes, so I went to help her.
"Need any help?" I asked her.
"Sure." She said. "You can dry after I wash."
"Jenna, do you remember Christopher Cruz from school?" Heather asked.
"Who doesn't?" I asked.
"He asked me out at a party last night." She told me. "Isn't that weird?"
"Yeah, considering we were so not cool and he was like the macho annoying football player." I told her.
"He was hot though." Amber said.
"I think he does staroids now." Heather said. "He looks stupid."
"Did you turn him down?" I asked her.
"Yeah." She said.
"You turned him down?!" Amber asked shocked.
Heather gave me a strange look. "You are probably thinking it would be kind of cool to say I went on a date with Christopher Cruz. I think it is kinda cool to be able to say I turned down a date with Christopher Cruz." Heather said.
"I agree." I said giggling.
"You're so smart!" Amber told her as she stood up. We all laughed.
"You girls are so silly." Mom told us.
Amber had always been kind of ditzy, so we teased her a lot. "How is work?" my mom asked me. They didn't know I worked at the bar, so I lied and said it was great. They oddly never asked me where I worked, just how it was. Our parents went into the family room to play games and talk over drinks. My sisters and I went into the living room and they guys were still watching Fear Factor. "How lame!" Heather said. "Hey, there are some hot guys on that show!" Amber said. "Hon, you think EVERY guy is hot, just because he is on tv. Trust me, most of those guys are total losers." I said. "But they are hot!" She replied. HEather and I looked at each other and rolled our eyes. Amber walked over and sat next to Cody. She kept trying to flirt with him, and he kept trying to ignore her. It was very amusing to Heather and I. Codly kept looking up at me, wanting help in getting rid of Amber. I just kept shrugging, and then he would glare at me. "I love that new Snoop dog cd! Oh have you heard Kelly Clarkson?" Amber kept asking him. "No, I don't listen to that kind of music." He said. "Oh, what do you listen to?" She asked. "Rock." HE muttered. "OH! I like that too! Like Nickleback!" She exclaimed. Cody and I both despised Nickleback. He hit himself in the forehead. Heather and I started laughing. Thomas was getting irritated. "Amber! SHUT UP!" He shouted. She got mad and threw a pillow at him. "Aw, here we go!" Heather said. We both armed outselves with pillows.
"I'm trying to watch this!" Adam shouted.
Cody threw a pillow at me and it knocked me back a little. "Cody!" I screamed. I hit him with my pillow and he grabbed it from me. He threw two at Heather and she hid behind the couch laughing. "You fucker!" Heather shouted. We all got quiet and looked at eachother. "Oops!" She whispered. We all laughed. Cody came up behind me and picked me up. He started spinning me really fast. "STOP!" I screamed. He set me down and I was really dizzy. I fell right to the floor. I closed my eyes until I didn't feel dizzy anymore. "JERK!" I shouted as I got up.
"Whatever!" He shouted. I started laughing. We all decided to turn the TV off and play a game. Amber wanted to play clue, but we decided on Scrabble instead. Heather won, like she always did. I looked up at the clock and it was almost 10:00 already. "Oh man, I gotta go!" I said. I gave everyone a hug, then went into the family room to say goodbye. All the parents were completely drunk! Cody and I decided to just go. He drove me home so I could change and waited around to give me a ride. He wanted to hang out at the bar that night, so he called a few friends to meet him there. I knocked on Amy's door to tell her to hurry up and Cody could give us a ride.
"She'll be on second." Ben said as he walked out of the bedroom. His hair was all messy and he was just wearing boxers. I rolled my eyes and sighed.
"What?" Ben asked.
"Nothing." I said annoyed.
He went to the kitchen. "Come on Amy!" I shouted.
"Hold your fucking horses!" She yelled.
She walked out a few minutes later. Her hair was just down and straight. She only had lipstick on. She ALWAYS wears make up to cover up all the redness on her face.
"Are you okay?" I asked her.
"Nope." She said. "Let's go."
"Wait." I said to her. I pulled her into her room and closed the door.
"What's wrong?" I asked her. She started to cry. "Ben is being such a jerk. I don't want to share a room with him anymore."
"Sleep in my room tonight." I told her. "I can kick Mikey out of the room too if you want."
"Thank you." She sobbed wiping her eyes.
"Now go get hottied up." I told her smiling.
She giggled.
"Hurry up though! We're going to be late." I told her.
I walked back out to the living room. I sat down and Cody massaged my shoulders and neck.
Ben walked by and glared at us. I just rolled my eyes. "Whats up with Ben?" Cody asked. "Beats me!" I said. Amy walked out a few minutes later. She was wearing her leather pants, and had her hair up. "Much better!" I told her. We all got into Bens car and left. We got there and the place was packed, even for a Saturday. Cody spotted his friends by the bar and went over to sit by them. Amy and I went to the back. We had just enough time to split a cigarette before we started. Adrian walked out behind us. "What is going on tonight?" I asked him. "I guess word got around about our 'boots' routine." HE said, smiling. "What?" I asked. "Don't ask me!" He said. "Okay, I'm going in!" Amy said. She took one more drag and left ther rest for me to finish. It was just Adrian and me outside. "Was it that good?" I asked him. "I guess so." He said. "Hey, Do you want to hang out sometime? When we aren't provocitavly dancing on a bar?" He asked me smiling. "Um. Sure." I told him. He progamed my number into his phone. I finished the cigarette and we both went inside. "Boot scootin boogie" Was playing and Stephanie and Amy were up on the bar shaking ther butts. I ran around taking drink orders. About an hour went by before "These boots were made for walking." Came on. I new they were going to play it again! I was standing by the bar with amy, and she jumped on the bar pulling me up with her. Adrian got up too and the three of us danced. I pushed Adrian down, and this time he slid on his knees to the end of the bar! It was amazing. Then Amy grabbed my arm, spun me around and pretended to kiss me. The bar roared. When the song was over Adrian was helping us down when I looked up. I was imediatly humiliated. I saw my parents in the audiance with Cody's parents. "FUCK!" I said. My eyes got big. I jumped down and ran over to Cody.

I was so embarassed. I walked around taking orders from the other tables. I looked over at my parents, and it looked like they were enjoying themselves. I decided maybe it would be better to talk to them about when they were drunk and in a good mood. I walked over to their table. "Can I take ya'lls orders?" I asked.
"Yes ma'am you sure can!" My Dad said. I started laughing.
"Jenna?" Mom said when I laughed.
Dad looked up. "So this is where you work." He said looking around.
"Nah. I'm just pretending I work here." I said.
He laughed. "I'd like a Rum and Coke, dear." He told me.
"Anyone else?" I asked them. "We're good." Clark said. I went behind the bar.
"I can't beleive your parents are here." Amy said giggling.
"I know!" I said. "They seem fine. I don't know if they will like it if they seee me dancing on the bar though!"
Friends in Low Places came on the stereo. Everyone in the bar was singing. I brought my Dad his drink and he handed me five dollars. I rolled my eyes and took it from him. "You're nuts!" I told him. Cody walked up to us. "Proud of your little girl, Daddy?" Cody said to my Dad. I slapped him. My Dad laughed. I walked to the bar and took a few peoples drink orders. A really cute guy walked up to the bar. "What can I get you?" I asked him smiling.
"I need a Bud Light and a Corona." He said.
"Coming right up." I told him. I tried to show off and quickly filled the glass with Bud Light. Then I grabbed the bottle of Corona and threw it in the air, but I am sure I looked stupid, because I almost dropped it. "Whoa, close one!" I said giggling.
He laughed. "Still looked pretty sexy." He said. I know I blushed right then. He winked and walked away.
"Nice one. Leave the tricks to us professionals." Kelly said, smiling. I just laughed at her. The night went pretty smooth. My parents left about an hour before we closed, so I was able to dance some more, and make a little more in tips. When it was closing time, we kicked everyone out and cleaned up. Adrian walked over to me. "Can I give you a ride?" He asked. "Um, acutually, my friend COdy is. I would take you up on your offer, but I promised Amy we'd hang out tonight." I told him. "Oh, I see." He said. "Maybe next time." I told him smiling. "Maybe! I'll call you?" He asked. "You better!" I told him. Amy, Cody, and I said good night to everyone and Cody drove Amy and I home.
We pulled up at our apartments. "Bye." I said opening the door.
"Wait." He said. "Can I stay over?"
Amy got out of the car smiling.
"Sure!" I told him. I closed the door so he could park. We went to the apartment and Mikey was playing a video game. "Can we use the TV?" I asked him.
"Yeah. As soon as I beat this level." He said. I sighed loudly and went to my room. Cody followed me. I went to the bathroom and washed off all my make up. I changed into my flannel pants and a tank top. "Come here." Cody said holding his hands out as I walked out of the bathroom. I walked up to him and gave him a hug. I looked up at him and he started kissing me. I kissed him back.
I pulled away from him. "What?" He asked. "Grandma said I can't kiss queers." I told him, and we both started laughing. He smiled at me, and I kissed him this time. "We can't do anything tonight." I told him. "Why?" He asked. I told Amy she could stay in here, and I'd kick Mikey out and make him sleep in Ben's room." I esplained. Cody walked over to the door and locked it. I just smiled at him. He walked back over and we kissed again.
I pulled him towards my bed and we layed down. We heard someone try to open the door. "Jenna?" Mikey said.
"Oh my god! Do you have to get in the way of everything I want to do?!" I shouted. I got up and opened the door. I put my hands on my waist. "Come on Cody." I said annoyed. I made some popcorn and put it in a big bowl. "You guys want to watch a movie?" I asked.
"Sure." Amy said. She sat down on the couch and Ben walked in the door holding some girls hand. She looked like she was sixteen. "Abby, these are my roommates." Ben told her.
"Hi." She said. Her voice was high and squeeky.
"Is he kidding?" Amy whispered.
"I've got my room all to myself tonight." Ben told Abby.
"Uh, actually. . ." I said looking at Amy. She smiled and nodded. "Yeah, um Mikey is sleeping in your room with you tonight."
"What?" Mikey asked.
"You don't mind the couch, do you Mike?" Ben asked.
"It's okay, Benny." Abby said. "You can take me back home."
He put his arm around her. "We'll work something out." He told her.
Ben left. "What was she, like sixteen?" Mikey asked. "Holy shit! What is up with him?" Amy said. "Hell if I know." I said. "Well, I'm guessing he isn't coming home. Not if he is mad at us. I can sleep in Amy's room with her tonight, if you and um...Cody wanted to be alone." Mikey said, winking. Amy and I laughed. Cody blushed. "Sounds good to me." Amy said. "If Ben comes home we are locking him out. Let HIM sleep on the couch!" She said. Mikey got up and put in Shaun of the Dead for us to watch.
Ben came back in. "We decided we will sleep on the couch." He said. "We just want the bedroom for an hour or so."
Abby giggled and Ben smiled. They went to his bedroom. "You better stay away from my bed!" Amy yelled.
"I'm going to talk to him." I said standing up. "Ben?" I said. I knocked on the door.
"Yes?" He asked.
"Can I talk to you for a second? It's important." I told him.
He opened the door. "What?"
"Can we step outside for a minute?" I asked him.
"I'll be right back." He told Abby. We went outside.
"What's goin on with you?" I asked him.
"Nothing." He said.
"Ben. I know you too well." I said. "I know you are lying. Now tell me what's up."
"Everything just sucks right now." He said. "I made a mistake. I slept with my roommate who I also share a room with. Ever since then, everything has done downhill."
I gave him a hug.
"I can't even get a girl for cryin out loud." He said.
"Shut up." I told him. "You are very attractive. You dress good and you always smell good. Plus you are so funny and fun to be around. Any girl would be crazy not to want you."
He smiled. "I guess you are crazy then."
"I just might be." I told him.
He laughed. "I'll take her home."
"Probably a good idea." I told him.
"She just turned eighteen and she is really annoying." He told me.
We laughed and went inside. "You men need to stop using people!" I said laughing. I sat down next to Cody to watch the movie with them.
Ben walked out with Abby to take her home. "Thank goodness!" Amy said when they left. "You should talk to him when he gets home. If he is a jerk then come get me or Mikey. Well referee!" I said, and she smiled at me. We all watched the movie, and when it was over we kept quoting it. "You got red on you!" Cody told me, and I started laughing. We were all pretty tired, and decided to go to bed. Cody and I walked back to my room and locked the door.
"Isn't it so awesome that our families get along so well?" I said as I sat indian style on the edge of the bed.
"Yeah it is." He said smiling.
I scooted back and leaned up against the wall. Cody sat down next to me. He grabbed my hand and held it in his.
"Maybe we shouldn't take our friendship to the next level." I said softly.
"Why not?"
"I don't know. Mikey and I did. Now I feel weird around him." I explained.
He let go of my hand. "Wait a minute. You had sex with Mikey?"
"Yes. . ." I said. "I had sex with you too. It's the same thing."
"Okay. Yeah." He said. "You're right. I am already getting jelous. We shouldn't make it any worse."
I smiled at him.
"I'll go home so Mikey can sleep in his bed." He told me standing up.
"Kiss me one more time. So I don't ever wonder what it is like." I told him. He walked over and kissed me again. We both started laughing. Cody left and Mikey came back a few minutes later. "I thought you two were going to..uh.." Mikey said. "No. We really are just good friends!" I said. "Oh, I see." He told me. We both went to bed. We woke up early the next morning to Amy and Ben yelling at each other. I climbed out of bed, and Mikey was already running out the door.
"What the hell!" Mikey shouted. Amy was throwing Bens stuff out the door.
"She is fucking psycho!" Ben shouted.
Amy was yelling and crying. "Amy!" I said. I grabbed her hand and took her outside. She put her hands in the fencing outside of our apartment and stared at the park.
"What's wrong?" I asked her.
"I just can't do this anymore." She said wiping her eyes.
"Can't do what?" I asked her.
"I don't think I can share a room with him anymore." She told me. "I need my privacy. I want to be able to take a shower and not have him barging in to brush his teeth or something."
"I'm sorry."
"And don't get me wrong. I love living with all of you. You are all really great friends." She said.
"I know." I said smiling. "You want me to talk to Mike? Maybe they can share a room and we can share a room."
"But you love sharing your room with Mikey." She said.
"We have no problems sharing a room or anything, but it wouldn't be the end of the world if we weren't sharing." I said laughing.
"Are you sure?" She asked.
"Yes. I will talk to him." I told her.
"Thanks." She said. "I don't want Ben to end up being my enemy, but I know that will happen if we continue to share a room."
"I know what you mean." I told her.
We went inside and Ben was puting his stuff in bags. "What are you doing?" I asked him.
"Fucking moving out." He said sounding really mad.
"Let's all sit down for a minute." I said. Ben ignored me. "I have an idea. Please come sit down." He threw a shirt on the floor and sat down on the couch. I sat down next to Mikey and Amy sat down on the floor.
"Ben, none of us want you to move out." I told him. He pointed at Amy. "Including Amy." I said. "Now would it be okay with you guys if Mikey and Amy switched so her and I shared a room?"
"You don't want to share with me anymore?" Mikey asked me.
"We just don't want anyone at eachothers throats." I told them. "We are all best friends. We don't want to jeopardize that."
"Whatever." Ben said. He looked at Amy. "Well move your shit outta my room then."
"Why is it me moving?" She asked rudly.
"Amy our bathroom is bigger anyway. Come on, I will help you." I told her.
Ben smiled. "Shut up." I told him. I helped Amy get her stuff together to move it into my room. Mikey started moving his things too. "I'm gonna miss you." Mikey told me.
"I know, I'm sorry. I don't want Ben and Amy to hate eachother." I told him.
He walked over and gave me a big hug. "Awww. Don't be sad. We still live together." I told him. "I know, but you are my favorite roomate." He said. "It'll be okay. We can still goof off!" I told him laughing. "Okay." He sighed. By that afternoon Mikey and Amy had switched. We were all pretty tired, and Ben and Amy were getting a long better already. I sat down on the couch and my phone rang it. "Hello?" I answered. "Jenna, it's me Adrian." Adrian said. "Oh, hello! Whats up?" I asked him.
"Just seeing what you were up to." He said.
"Oh. Not much. We had some roommate issues to resolve earlier." I told him laughing.
"How did that go?" He asked.
"I think we resolved it well." I told him.
"That's good." He said.
"So, what about you? Anything exciting?" I asked.
"Uh. . . not really. I have to go have dinner at my sisters in a few minutes." He said.
"Cool."
"Yeah. She is Mormon though, so I always feel awkward around her family." He said.
"Aren't they your family too?"
"Yeah. But you know what I mean. Her husband and kids." He said.
I laughed. "I know."
"Well, give me a call if you ever want to hang out." He said.
"I will." I said. "Talk to you later."
"Bye." I he said. We hung up.
"We're going to go rent some movies." Ben told me with his arm around Amy. She smiled. "Cool." I said.
"Play Tetris with me." Mikey said.
I started laughing and grabbed his controler from him. I unplugged it and threw it across the room.
"Hey!" He shouted. He jumped on top of me and tackled me to the floor. All I could do was laugh. He layed down and started kissing me.
"Hey, Whoa! Whats the deal mister?" I asked him. "Mister?" He said. I laughed. "Sorry, just having fun!" He said. "Well, didn't we learn a little something from Ben and Amy?" I asked him. "Hey, we aren't like them." Mikey said. I just laughed. "You are just a sore loser!" I said. "Oh am I?" He asked. "YES!" I shouted. I jumped up and ran back to the bedroom. I tried to shut the door, but Mikey was too fast and stopped it, pushing it open. "NO!" I shouted, laughing. I jumped on the bed and he tackled me.
We were both laughing really hard. Snot flew out of my nose and I laughed even harder.
"Ew!" Mikey shouted, still laughing.
"Oh my god." I said covering my mouth.
"Alright, stop using your boogers for amunition." He said.
"Shut up!" I shouted. "You retard!"
He grabbed me and rolled me over on top of him. He pulled me close to him and we kissed.
We both started undressing each other really fast. My shirt got stuck on my head, and I had to tell him to hold on before he ripped it. "Sorry." He said, grinning. I stuck my tounge out at him, and he tickled me again. I squeeled! "HA HA! I made you squeel!" He shouted. "Shut up!" I said. He kissed me, and we started having sex. In the middle of it we heard Amy and Ben get home. "Oh shit!" I whispered, trying not to giggle. "GUYS?" I heard Amy yell. "We're back here! Watching Friends!" Mikey shouted. "Okay, Well, we've got movies and pizza if you two want to join!" She shouted back. Mikey and I both started laughing. "Hurry up!" I whispered into his ear. We were almost finished, and I moaned. "What was that?" Amy asked. "Nothing! Be right out!" I yelled back. "Shhh!"Mikey said. "I can't help it!" I told him. He smiled. "I'm that good!" He said. I just laughed at him. We finally finished and both hurried up and got dressed.
I fixed my hair and we walked out.
Amy gave me a look. I am pretty sure she knew. I had a feeling she would be upset about it too.
"What episode were you watching?" Ben asked us.
We looked at eachother. "The one where Ross playes the bagpipes." I laughed.
"What?" Amy asked. "You don't even have that Season yet."
"It was on TV." Mikey said quickly. "So what movies did you get?"
Amy and Ben looked at each other. "We got a couple Jakie Chan movies." Ben said. "Oh, cool!" Mikey said, excited. "AND some foriegn movies for us." Amy added. She kept looking at me. "What?" I asked. "Friends doesn't come on Sundays." She said. "Well, it was just on!" mikey said. "Okay." She replied. "Okay, Fine. We were watching Porn!" I said. Everyone looked at me. "What?" I said, laughing. Everyone else started laughing too.
"You mean making your own?" Amy asked. It got quiet.
"Yeah." Mikey said getting mad. "It was hot. You wanna watch it?"
"No." Amy said. Ben sighed loudly and turned on Rush Hour 2. I sat behind Ben and put my arms around him.
"Don't let her get to ya." He whispered.
"I'm fine." I whispered back.
Mikey sat next to us and Amy walked over and sat on the otherside of the room. "You can sit over here Amy. I'm sorry I got snippy with you." Mikey said. Amy just looked up at him and then kept watching the movie.
I kept laughing and Ben would cover his ears. "Whoa make me go deaf why don't ya." Ben said laughing.
"Shut up." I told him giggling. Amy looked up at us and then back at the movie. It made me wonder if she was jelous that neither Mikey or Ben cuddled or sat close to her. She never had that type of personality though, so it was weird that she was acting this way.
When the movie was over, Ben asked us all if we wanted to go hang out at the park for a while. Mikey said he was going to bed and Amy said she was going to read. So, Ben and I went outside to the park and got on the tire swing.
We swung in circles, and I had to make ben stop because I felt sick. I jumped off, and ran and layed on the grass holding my head. "Are you okay?" He asked laughing. "Yeah, just dizzy!" I said. He ran over and sat on me. "Get off!" I said, laughing. "Nope." He said. "Yes!" I tried to push him off, but he had me pinned. I started laughing.
He laughed. "I love you."
"What?" I asked letting to of him.
He stood up. "Nothing." He said smiling.
"Shut up. You just told me you love me." I told him.
"If you heard me then why did you say what?" He asked.
I gave him a dirty look and he laughed. "Are you fucking with me?" I asked.
"Not at all." He said. "Sorry."
"For what?"
"I waited way too long to tell you." He said.
"We havn't even dated, and you love me?" I asked him. "I guess it sounds a little crazy, doesn't it?" He asked. "Yeah, a little." I told him. "Please don't be mad at me." He said. "I'm not, just a little caught of guard." I told him.
"I don't even want to know what is going on with you and Mikey." He said.
"Okay." I told him.
"I know that we've never dated, I just started to fall for you after that day you went with me to my families barbeque. You just fit in so well and you were just so awesome with them all. It made me realize that it wasn't just a crush I had on you." He said. He smiled and looked away.
"Aww." I said smiling.
"Can I take you on a date?" He asked. "I have a great idea of a place to take you."
"Really?" I asked blushing.
"Yeah. You mentioned it about a month ago. You hadn't been there, but you really wanted to go." He said.
"Hmm, I don't remember." I said. "Sure. You can take me. I'd really like that."
"I can take you tomorrow." He said. "Okay. Tomorrow it is!" I said. I was excited to see where he was going to take me. "We'll leave at 8:00 so we have plenty of time to get there. Dress comfy." He said. "Comfy?" I asked. "Yeah, jeans, t-shirt." He said. "Okay..." I said. I was tring to figure out where we were going. He kept grinning. "What?" I asked him. "I'm so excited!" He said. "Me too, actually." I said. He kissed my cheek, and then took off running.
He ran to the pool area, took off his shirt and pants and jumped into the pool. When I got to the pool, I was out of breath. "What the heck are you doing?" I asked.
"Just having some fun." He said.
I laughed. I sat down on the edge of the pool and put my feet in the water.
"Get in." He said.
"No. It's too cold."
He started walking towards me. "I'll pull you in if you don't get in." He said.
"BEN!" I shouted. I stood up.
"You think I can't catch you?" He asked.
"I know you can't!" I told him, backing away. "Party pooper." He said. climbing out. He walked over to his clothes, then turned and lunged at me the last minute. I jumped back, but he caught me. He picked me up and jumped in the pool with me. "JERK!" I shouted when I came back up for air. He was laughing so hard. I climbed out, gathered up his clothes and jumped back into the pool with them. "Hey! NOT COOL!" He said. "Hey, if my clothes are wet, so are yours!" I shouted.
"And this water is freezing!" I shouted. I got out of the pool and threw his clothes back into the water. "See you inside!" I told him. He got out of the pool and followed me into the apartment. He was shivering. "I'm going to go change." He said.
"Me too. Then I am going to bed." I told him.
"Noooo stay up with me." He said.
"I need my beauty rest for tomorrow." I told him.
"Oh alright." He said. I went to my room and changed into my pajama's. I washed my face and went to bed. The next morning, I woke up and got in the shower. When I got out, I picked out my favorite jeans and my pink and black striped t-shirt. I put my hair up with a clip, brushed my teeth and put some make up on. I went out to the living room and Mikey was watching TV. "Hey you." He said.
"Good Morning." I said smiling.
I poured myself some Orange Juice and sat down by Mikey.
"My Dad is making me work today." He told me.
"Oh fun." I said.
"Yeah right." He said. "I fucking hate construction."
"So find a real job then." I told him.
"I know, I know. I should. I'm just lazy." He said.
"Then you are stuck with construction." I told him.
He laughed. "What are you up to today?"
"I'm hanging out with Ben this morning." I said. "Not sure what we are doing. I guess it is a surprise."
"I see." He said. He sighed and got up. "Well, I will see you later I guess."
"Have fun." I told him.
Ben walked out. "Ready?"
"Yup." I said. I got my purse and we walked to his truck. He opened the door for me and I got in. We headed to wherever it was he was taking me. He turned on 311 in the truck. For some reason, I felt a little nervous. We pulled up at a building that looked abandoned.
Ben laughed. "You okay?"
I nodded. "Where the heck are we?"
"You know how my cousin Roger works for the radio station?" He asked.
"Yeah. . ."
"The station was giving away passes to go to a private Fall Out Boy session. They are recording some acoustic stuff and a couple interviews." He said.
"And?"
"And here we are!" He said.
"WHAT?!" I screamed. "Are you serious?!"
He laughed again.
"Oh my god!" I said excited. "You told me it was a place I mentioned!"
"Well, you kind of mentioned it." He laughed. "You wanted to go to that private Jimmy Eat World concert. When I heard about this, I asked if he could get me in. He talked to his Manager and he just gave him the tickets. He will be here too." He explained.
"I don't think I can move right now." I told him giggling nervously. "Oh my god, I would not have worn this if I knew we were going to be going here."
"You look hot." He said.
"No. We have to run to Target so I can get another shirt." I told him.
"NO! You look sexy, now come on!" He said, getting out of the car. I followed him out. "Are you sure?" I whispered. "Yes. You look terrific!" He said. He held my hand and started walking toward the door. He stopped me before we got there and kissed me. "Sorry, wanted to get that out of my system." He told me, smiling. "Dork." I said. We walked in and there were two guys standing at the door. They asked for our names and our passes. The band was being interviewed in one corner, so Ben and I walked over to see Roger and some of the other station staff. Mike Green was the radio personality who was doing the interview, and I could barely hear what he was talking to the band about. "Ben!" Roger said when we walked up. "And Jenna, looking lovely as always." Roger said. He introduced us to the other people. "The band will come mingle with everyone when the interview is over. We are still waiting for some more people to show up." Roger explained.
I covered my mouth and looked away. I was so nervous! I took the clip out of my hair and shook my head. I brushed it with my hands. I put the clip in my purse. I turned back around. Ben and Roger laughed at me.
"Shut up." I told them giggling nervously.
Ben put his arm around me. "Relax." He said quietly.
"I can't!" I said loudly. "Oops." I whispered.
I started laughing. I gave Ben a tight hug. "I'm going to make a fool of myself." I whispered in his ear. He let go of me.
"You'll be fine. Just act normal." He said.
"So act like an idiot?" I asked, and he laughed. "No, act like your normal cool self." He said. He gave me another hug and kissed my neck giving me the chills. "Hey, relax babe. We all get that way the first time we meet someone big. You'll be fine!" Roger said. More people came in to listen to the band. I heard Mike Green say, "Well, thanks for the interview!" I got really nervous. We were all standing by the table that had all the drinks and food. My heart started racing when the band members walked over to us.
I turned around and started making myself a plate of chips. I heard them come up and introduce themselves. I didn't listen. I was so nervous that I was shaking. "I'm Pete." I heard. "This is Jenna." Roger said tapping my shoulder. I took a deep breath and turned around. Pete put his hand out to shake mine. I shook his hand. "Nice to meet you." I said. Pete put his hand on his stomach. "I think I need some grub." He said. He stood next to me by the table of food. I turned back around. He was so hot! That was all I could think about. He smelled good too. "You smell good. What is that?" I said. I gulped.
"Tide?" He asked smiling. I laughed really loud and felt like a total idiot. He laughed. "So are you sticking around for a while?" He asked.
I nodded. "Um yeah I think so."
"You a fan?" He asked.
"Yes. You're like my biggest fan." I said. He laughed. "I mean I am your biggest fan."
"She is a little nervous." Roger told him.
"Well, I am going to go use the mens room." He said as he put a chip in his mouth. He set his plate down and walked away.
"Ben, I am a retard." I whispered. Him and Roger started laughing really hard.
"Don't worry. You are cute when you are a retard." Ben said. I hit his back. "Hey!" He shouted. He lunged at me and I moved out of the way. I grabbed his hand and twisted it behind him. "OW! Chirst! You win, mercy!" He shouted. We both started laughing. We heard other people laughing, and then remembered where we were. "Wow, you know how to kick some ass." Pete said, walking back from the bathroom. Andrew, Patrick and Joe walked over to Pete to get some food. "That was awesome! You kicked his ass!" Patrick said. "Sorry about that, I guess we forgot where we were." I apologized. "What? No, that was great! You can wrestle me anytime Pete said. I blushed. "Oh, her name is Jenna by the way. And...Ben!" Pete said, trying to remember Bens name.
"Andy, Jenna said I am her biggest fan." Pete said.
I laughed.
A man walked up. "Alright guys, we're going to record Sugar We're Goin Down and Nobody Puts Baby in the Corner." He said. "Um, we're going to record those acoustic."
"Can we screw around with these guys afterwards?" Pete asked pointing at us. "Maybe do a little We Will Rock You or somethin'."
The guy laughed. "Let's get these songs recorded."
They went to the middle of the room where their instruments were set up. We sat down at some seats near them. I mouthed all the songs and Ben kept watching me. I was smiling the whole time.
Pete kept smiling at me when he would look up. It was making me excited. When they wered done I cheered, and was embarassed when nobody else did. "Glad somebody likes us!" Patrick said into the mic.
I laughed again. My laugh started to get less annoying as I got less nervous. "Okay, come up here." Pete told us. "Can we get a couple more mics?" Patrick said in the mic. Two guys came out with a couple more mics. I sat down in the chair next to Pete. "You guys want to sing a song with us?" Pete asked.
"Yeah." I said quickly.
"Any song ideas?" Andy asked.
"Ummm." I said thinking.
"How about I wanna be Sedated?" Pete suggested.
"Okay!" I said excited. We were still short a mic, so Pete told me to share with him. I was started to get super nervous again.
"Can we roll this?" Pete asked the people in the sound room. They nodded and the red light went on.
"Okay, let's do this!" Patrick said. "One, Two, One, Two, Three, Fuck!" He shouted and they started playing the song.
At first I was just singing back up to the chorus. Ben sang pretty good! I was hoping I didn't sound like an idiot. When the song finished they all cheered. "Hey Patrick, lets play again, but this time I want Jenna to sing, and we'll sing back up chorus." Pete said. "No!" I told him. "You sound awesome, come on." He said, smiling at me. I was so nervous. They started the song again, and I started singing. The band was jaming out right along with me! I felt incredable. The people watching were getting really into it too. When the song was over everyone cheered. "You have a great voice. You should sing, you'd make a hot rockerchick." Pete whispered. "Thanks." I said blushing. Ben and I got off stage, and we listened to them play a couple more songs. When they were done Pete walked over with a slip of paper in his hand. "Jenna, I want your phone number. We had an Idea for our new CD, and could use a good chick singer." He told me. I didn't know what to say, I just gave him my number. Petes manager came over a few minutes later telling him he needed to come back for some photos. "One sec!" He said. "Hey, you two should come to a party tonight. I wrote down an address and a phone number and gave it to Ben. "Just call that number for directions." Pete said. "See ya!" He waved as he walked away. "Oh my GOD!" I shouted. Ben smiled at me. "Well, what did you think?" He asked me. "I SO owe you one. This was the greatest day of my life!" I told him, kissing his cheek. "Come on, lets get out of here." He said. We left and drove to the park. I was still so excited! I kept talking about. We were walking on one of the paths when Ben stopped me mid-sentance, and Kissed me.
I was so happy, I kissed him back. After a few minutes, I stopped kissing him, screamed and jump into his arms. He laughed. "God, I love you." He said softly. I looked at him. "Guess I'm just a loveable person." I told him.
He laughed. "Let's go home. I need a nap."
We went home and Amy and Mikey weren't there. I went to take a nap and Ben walked in behind me. He took my hands and pulled me to my bed. He layed back and pulled me towards him so I was laying on him.

"Oh my GOD!" She screamed. We talked about for a little while before I started yawning. "Well, I'm going to let you go incase we do go out." I told her. "Well, good luck!" She told me. I hung up and layed down to take a nap.
I woke up to Amy banging things around the room a few hours later.
"You okay?" I asked her waking up.
"Yeah. Sorry." She said. "Didn't mean to wake you."
"No problem." I said. I sat up.
"Ben told me about your day. Sounded like a lot of fun." She said.
"Yeah it was." I told her.
"He said they are flying out to Vancouver tonight though, so no party." She said.
"That's okay. I am so freakin exhausted." I told her.
"Can we hang out tonight? Like alone?" She said. "I have things driving me nuts that I need to talk about." She laughed.
"Definatly. Sorry I screwed up the last time we were suppose to hang out." I told her.
"Oh, that's okay." She said. "Do you want to just go to Elgrados?"
"Sure." I said.
"I figure that way we can enjoy the music, but still be able to chat." She said. "And we should bring change for the jukebox."
I laughed. "Definatly!"
I got out of bed and went out to the living room. "Hey, there is no-"
"Party tonight." I said cutting ben off. "You heard?" He asked. "Yes," I said smiling. "Do you wanna go out tonight?" He asked. "Can we go out tomorrow night? I told Amy we could hang out." I told him. "Absolutley." He said. I walked over and gave him a hug. He kissed me. "Untill tomorrow." He said, and then went into his room.
I sat down on the couch and sighed. I didn't really know how I felt about Ben. I've seen him be a total jerk before. But, I have also seen him be totally sweet. I never really looked at him as more than a friend either and I still wasn't seeing him as more than a friend. I decided not to dread on it and just live my life the same way as I have been. I'm not the type of person that focuses on one guy when I see a possibility of a relationship evolving. Most guys I date get jelous of Cody too. I refuse to let any relationship I am in get in the way of mine and Codys friendship. If they can't accept our friendship, then they are not worth my time. I called Cody to tell him about Fall Out Boy. He was jelous. I knew he would be! He asked me if we could meet at Starbucks for breakfast tomorrow and I said yes. "Wow I am popular." I said joking.
I was getting hungry, so I went back to the room to see if Amy wanted to go early to eat some food. "Of course! Lets get ready." She said. We both wore jeans. I put on a black and white striped tub top of mine, and she wore a pink silk tanktop. When we were done we walked out of the room. "Wow! You two look great!" Mikey said. "Thanks!" Amy told him. Ben just stared at me and smiled. "Well, we are off. See you two loser later!" I said, and we left.
Amy drove and we went to Elgrados. We got seated in the corner near the window. We each ordered a water to start out with.
"So, what is on your mind?" I asked her.
She sighed and smiled. "The guy I went out on a date with was an ass, but I only went on the date to try and get my crush out of my head."
I nodded.
"This whole thing has been driving me crazy." She said. "You are the only one I trust telling though."
"Okay." I told her. "You know you can always tell me anything."
I took a sip of my water.
"I really like Ben." She said. I spit my water out.
"Oh no." She said. "You like him too?"
"No." I said quickly. I cleared my throat.
"I am so stupid. How do I get him out of my head?" She asked.
"Wow." I said.
She smiled. "I know."
"Okay, I'm going to be completely honest with you and I don't want you to get upset." I told her.
"Okay."
"Last night." I said. "Um, Ben told me he loves me."
"He did?" She asked softly.
"Yes, but I don't plan on acting on it. I swear." I told her. Her eyes started to water. I took her hand. "Hey?" I said. "Don't get upset. There will be other guys. And I promise you that I will not date Ben. He is off limits for sure now."
"You're a good friend." She told me wiping her eyes.
"I've been going crazy trying to figure out my feelings for Cody." I told her. "I am so confused about it."
"I always thought you two were awesome together." She said.
I giggled. "Everyone tells me that."
"I know you have always worried about your friendship though." She said. "What about Mikey? What's going on there?"
"I have no clue." I said. "I think I keep wondering what it would be like to date him or Cody. I never feel like this with other guys. Just my best friends aparently."
"Never Ben?" She asked.
"I've wondered sometimes. We have a different friendship though. More of a serious one. I mean we goof off sometimes, but it's not the same as with Mikey. I could never have a private conversation with ben or anything." I told her. "I don't know. It is hard to explain."
"We got ourselved into a weird situation here, didn't we?" She asked. "Yeah, I guess we did!" I told her. "Shot?" She aksed. "PLEASE!" I told her. We called the waiter over and ordered two shots of Tequila with our dinner. He took our menus and left. My phone started ringing. "Hello?" I answered. "Hey, its Adrian!" Adrian said. "Oh hi!"
"What are you doing tonight? My friend and were thinking of going out, and I thought maybe we could meet up." He said. "I'm out with Amy." I told him. "Oh cool. You wanna hang out?" He asked. "Who is it?" Amy mouthed. "Hold on." I told Adrian. "It is Adrian, him and his friend wanted to hang out, but I was going to tell him I'm out with you tonight." I whispered to her. "Why? Have them both come out! Maybe it will get our minds of the men that drive us crazy!" She told me. "Adrian?" I asked. "Yup, still here." He said. "We are at Elgrados. If you and your friend want to come out, it's cool. If not, we can hang out later, okay?" I said.
"Would we be intruding?" He asked.
"Um." I said. "What are you guys up to? Can you come by in like an hour?"
"Sure." He said.
"Cool." I said. "See you in a bit."
I hung up. "I figure we could talk some more for a while before they come." I told her.
"Okay." She said smiling.
"Jukebox?" I asked.
She jumped out of her chair. "Hell yeah!" She said.
We walked over the the jukebox and each played six songs. We picked a couple really stupid ones just for fun. We went back to the table. "I can't wait to see everyones face when Hangin Tough comes on." Amy said laughing. The waiter came back with our shots. "Can we also get two Bloody Marys?" I asked. "You can bring them with our dinner."
"I sure can." He said. He left.
"Okay, we are going to do a toast here." Amy said. "Let's see."
I laughed.
"Hmm." She said. "I'm not sure what to toast too. I guess I will just say that hopefully we both figure ourselves out and end up with great guys."
"Sounds good to me." I said. We tapped our glasses and drank the shots. We both went right for our water afterwards. Amy made a weird face and shook her head. "Woo!" She shouted smiling.
She scared a couple sitting at the table next to us, and we both started laughing! We both got to talk, which was nice. We didn't always get to with the guys around all the time. The waiter came back with our food and drinks a little while later. We finished eating, and ordered two coronas. Once we finished our beers, we were both drunk! I saw Adrian and his friend walk in the door. He looked amazing! I waved and called them over. "Wow! You two are drunk already!" He said laughing. He hugged both of us, and kissed our cheeks. "Jenna, Amy, this is Seth." He said pointing to his friend. "Nice to meet you two ladies." Seth said, shaking our hands. We scooted over so they could sit with us. I made them each order a shot and a beer to catch up to us.
We all talked about music and joked about our families. Amy died laughing and spit her drink out when I brought up my Grandma. Then her and I couldn't stop laughing.
"I have to pee!" She said.
We went to the bathroom and we were still laughing our heads off. We touched up our make up. I tried to put lipstick on and Amy made me laugh so it got on my nose. "Shut up!" I told her. We stood there until we stopped laughing. I took a deep breath. "Okay." I said. "Gosh, they probably think we are so crazy."
"I think it's time for water." She said. "One of us has to drive home."
"Okay." I said.
We walked back out and Seth and Adrian grabbed us, and pulled us onto the dance floor. A local band was playing 80's covers. They started playing "She must be sombodys baby". Adrian and I danced all the time at work, so this was nothing! Before we knew it everyone was watching us dance!
It was so much fun! We ended up taking more shots too that guys were bringing us. We danced for a few songs and then we all sat back down at the table. "Shit." Amy said laughing. "We're going to have to call Mikey or Ben to pick us up."
I laughed. "Crap!"
"Or Cody?" Amy suggested.
"I don't know. . ." I said.
"Well, we are taking a cab if you want to do that. We can have him drop you two off first." Seth offered.
"Yeah lets do that." Amy said. We were both so drunk! We stuck with water for the rest of the night. When it got late, Adrian called the cab and he was there to pick us up shortly after. He dropped us off and we stumbled out of the cab laughing. We tried to be quiet, but we couldn't stop laughing. We didn't even know what we were laughing about. It took us forever to get up the stairs to our apartment. When we got to our door, Amy fell when she tried to open the door. She let go of the doorknob and knocked on it. The door opened and we looked up. It was Mikey. "What the fuck." He said.
"We had a bit to drink." Amy slurred grabbing onto the bottom of his pants.
"Shit." He said. "Ben! I need your assitance."
Amy grabbed my hand and I fell down onto the ground with her. I scraped my knee on the concrete.
Mikey helped me up. All Amy and I could do was laugh. Ben helped Amy up and he took her to her bed. "Gooooood niiiiight, Jen!" She slurred laughing.
Mikey took me to my bed. "Mikey, I think I like you." I said pointing at him. Amy started laughing, which made me laugh. "It's not funny." I told her.
"Okay, drunkie." He said.
"Fine. Don't beleive me." I said getting frustrated.
The guys left and Amy fell asleep right away. I was still wide awake though, so I got up to get some water. Ben was on the computer. "Hello." I said. "Hey." I answered. "I'm not tired." I told him. I walked over and sat in the chair next to him. "Whatttr ya doin?" I asked him. "Just looking up stuff." He said. "I brushed my teeth all by myself!" I told him, laughing. "Did you?" He asked. "Yup! Hey wheres Mikey?" I asked. "He went to bed drunk pants." Ben told me. "Oh. I'm bored." I said. "Well, what do you want to do?" He asked me.
"Maybe we should talk." I told him.
He turned in his chair so he was facing me. "What's up?"
"You are a really great friend." I told him. "But we can't take this relationship any further than friendship."
He leaned back in his chair. "Alright." He said sitting back up. "I understand."
"Good." I told him. "I'd hate to ruin our friendship."
"I know. I was thinking the same thing." He said. "As much as I would love to do it. No worries though, I'll get over it eventually." He hit my knee and turned back around so he was facing the computer. He started watching some comedian and laughing. He was ignoring me. "I'm gonna go wake Mikey up!" I said giggling. I went to his room and jumped on the bed. "What are you doing? You scared the shit outta me." Mikey said. I laughed.
"Are you drunk?" He asked, grogily. "A little!" I said giggling. "Dork." He said. "Why did you wake me up? I was having a wonderful dream." He said, burying his head in his pillow. "Because I'm bored and Ben is ignoring me. Were you dreaming about me?" I asked, laughing. "Sure." He said. I laughed some more. He reached up and pushed me off the bed, which made me laugh even more. Then finally he started laughing. "You suck!" He said.
"Why?" I asked.
"Because you are so damn cute." He said.
I got back on the bed and layed next to him. The next thing I knew, it was morning. I woke up in Mikeys arms. I looked over and Ben as asleep in his bed. I got up and went to the kitchen. Amy was eating some oatmeal. "Hey." She said. "Did you make a move on Mikey?"
I laughed. "No. I fell asleep in his bed with him, but nothing happen."
She giggled. "I am so tired."
"Me too." I told her. "I think I am going to go back to bed in my bed."
"It is pretty early." She said.
"Can you wake me up in two hours?" I asked her. "I'm suppose to meet Cody for breakfast."
"Yeah sure!" She said smiling.
I woke up when my phone rang. "Hello?" I answered. "Hey, where are you?" I heard Cody ask. "I'm sleeping." I told him. "You were supposed to meet me half an hour ago." He said. "What!" I shouted, looking at the clock. Amy hadn't woken me up. "I'm sorry! I slept too long! Come get me, I'll be ready when you get here." I told him hanging up.
I took a really fast shower and threw my hair up. I put on my green sundress and put some powder on. Cody was knocking on the door as I was walking out of my bedroom. I grabbed my purse and walked outside. "Sorry." I told him.
"It's okay." He said. He gave me a kiss and we walked to the car. We got in and he drove to Starbucks.
When we walked up to the counter I recognized the guy working there. "Jim?" I asked. "Hey, Jenna! How've you been? I havn't seen you since grad night!" Jim said. "I've been good! What about you?" I asked him. "Eh, same old same old. Do you still hang out with Amy, Ben, and Mikey?" He asked. "Hang out? We live together!" I said. "Hey, what can I get you guys?" He asked. Cody and I ordered and sat at one of the tables. Jim brought out our stuff. "Mind if I sit for a minute? I'm on break." He asked. "Sure!" I said.
"Do you remember Cody?" I asked him.
He looked at him. "Yes." He said.
He talked to us for a few minutes and went back to work. I told Cody more about Fall Out Boy, because he kept asking me questions. When we finished eating, we walked around the shopping center with our coffee's. It was nice outside, but it was drizzling a little.
We were walking toward the parking lot heading toward Old Navy, when I slid in a puddle! I couldn't catch myself, and fell right on my butt in the mud. "Oh my god! Are you okay?" Cody yelled. "I'm fine. Embarassed, and shamed, but fine!" I told him laughing. He helped me up out of the puddle, but lost his footing, and fell right next to me. "Well, aren't we two peas in a pod." He said. "DORK!" I told him.
I got up and walked really fast to the car. Cody followed me laughing. We got in the car and went to his place. I changed into his plaid flannel pants and a t-shirt. We layed in his bed and watched Friends.
"Hey Jenna." He said. "Hey what?" I asked. "Hey, You look better in my clothes then me. Whats up with that?" He asked. "Hmm. . . I don't know. Maybe it is because I look better then you." I said. "Hey Jenna." He said again. "Hey What?"
You are a jerkface."
"Hey Cody."
"Hey What?"
"Eat Me, Nerd!"
"Oh, thats it! Your going down!" He said. He Jumped up and stood on the bed.
He stood above me, then jumped down really fast so the whole bed shook and he was on top of me. I glared at him.
"You are such a goofball!" I told him.
He laughed and put his arms around me. He hugged me tightly. "I love hugging you." He said.
"I love hugging you too." I told him smiling.
"Are we ever going to date?" He asked.
"I don't know." I said. "I'm not really sure what I want right now."
"Hmm, at this moment?" He asked.
"What?" I laughed.
"I don't know." He laughed and let go of me. "I don't know what I am talking about."
I laughed. "You dork."
"Yes I am! And you LOVE me!" He said. "DO NOT!" I responeded.
"You do too!" He said again, and started tickling me. "STOP IT!" I screamed. I wiggled away and hit him with the pillow. We both started laughing. "Truce?" He asked, holding out his hand. "Truce" I said, shaking it. When I did, he grabbed me, and gave me a huge hug. "Hey! You said truce!" I yelled. "I'm not doing anything." He said. "Then let go!" I told him laughing. "Nope." He said.
I laughed.
"Never letting go." He said.
I hugged him back. "You're sweet."
"I know." He said.
"You are also retarded." I told him rolling my eyes. He let go of me and leaned back up against the wall. I layed down on top of him and resting my head on his stomach.
"Move a little lower." He said.
I lifted my head up and hit him laughing. "Shut up."
"He he. I'm a Smooth Operator!" He said winking. "You are a nerd!" I said. "Nope. I like smooth operator better." He said, and I started giggling. "So what do you wanna do?" He asked. "I don't know. I'm still in your pajamas untill my clothes finish washing, so We are kind of limited to your place." I told him. "I know! Let's play pictionary! We used to love that game!" He said, jumping up.
"Alright, nerdbomber!" I said. We layed down on the bed and he set up the game. He went first and drew something that looked like a sock and was suppose to be a banana. "What the fuck. A banana is not shaped like that." I told him making fun.
"Yes it is." He said.
"It looks like a sock!" I told him.
"That does not look like a sock." He said holding it up.
"Holding it up is not going to make it look less like a sock." I said. He glared at me and got up. "I'm going to go get some cheetos." He said. He left the room. I got up and stood against the wall be the door, so I could jump out and scare him when he opened the door. After two minutes, he walked in and I jumped in front of him and screamed. He jumped and had the most frightened look on his face.
"Holy shit!" He said. I died laughing. "Oh my god, you scared the shit out of me." He said. "Geez."
"That would have been the whole point!" I told him. "I hate you!" He said. He threw the bag of cheetos at me. I grabbed them and held them in the air. "Now you arent getting these back!" I told him.
"You really think you can stop me?" He said puting his arms around me. He picked me up and threw me on the bed. Some of the Cheetos flew out of the bag. He grabbed it from me and got on top me of with his knees holding down my arms.
"Okay, get that out of my face!" I told him. He started eating Cheetos. "Mmmm." He said.
"Get up!" I shouted.
"Nope." He said.
"Stop it!" I shouted. I wiggled one of my arms loose and hit him in the stomach, knocking him backwards. "I thought we were playing pictionary?" I asked him, laughing. "This is more fun!" He said. "I have to pee!" I said, getting up and walking to the bathroom.
As soon as I sat down to pee, Cody came running in to the bathroom. I leaned forward quickly. "Cody!" I screamed. I started laughing and couldn't stop.
"What?" He asked.
"Get out!" I said.
He stood there for ten minutes and finally left so I could get up. When I went back to the bedroom, he wasn't there. I walked out to the kitchen and as I turned the corner, he came jumping up from behind the counter and yelled Hi. I screamed at the top of my lungs and started laughing hysterically. Cody was laughing too. My hear was racing. "YOU SCARED ME SO MUCH!" I shouted between laughter.
"I had to get you back." He said. I sat down on the couch and stopped laughing finally after a few minutes. He sat down next to me and put his arm around me. "It's been a fun morning." He said smiling.
"Yeah it has." I agreed.
He went to see if my clothes were dry and they were. I went to his bedroom to change and he opened the door when all I had on was my underwear. I screamed and covered myself up with his shirt. "Get out!" I shouted. I don't know why I always got embarassed when he saw me like that. "I'm serious, Cody. Please get out." I told him.
"Fine." He said looking annoyed. He walked out of the room and closed the door.
I started giggling. "What?" He asked, opening the door agian. "STOP!" I said turning around. I finished getting dressed facing away from him. "What?" He asked. "I don't know, you just made me laugh when you shut the door." I said. "Werido." He said. "I'm tired now." I told him. "Me too. Lets take a nap." He said.
We layed down on his bed and he fell asleep within a few minutes. I layed there and watched him sleep. He looked cute. I examined his face and all his features. I had never REALLY looked at him before. I liked his messy dark hair and his pouty little lips. At that moment, I wanted to kiss him.
I fought the urge, and forced myself to go to sleep. I woke up to Cody brushing the hair out of my face. I opened my eyes and looked at him. "We slept for two hours. Wake up sleepy." He whispered. I smiled at him, and then yawned. He just smiled back. "Hey Cody, I have something I want to tell you." I told him. "What?" He asked. "Come closer, it is a secret." I said. "Okay..." He said. He leaned in, but instead of whispering in his ear, I turned his head and kissed his lips.
He pulled away. "Whoa." He said. "What are you doing?"
"Kissing you. Is that a crime?" I asked pushing him giggling.
"Not in my book." He said. "But I beleive it is in yours."
I smiled. "I've been rewriting some things in my book."
"Is that so?" He asked.
